Hey everyone,

New to the group, just got a 19 Ranger Lariat and am in Love with it! I used to have an 18 F150 Lariat and I am much happier with the Ranger.
On my F-150 I used forscan to set up a bunch of neat adjustments to suit my preferences. I like the parking lights to run with the DRLs and I was able to enable that with in Forscan ( This is also going to be handy with the RTR grille I just ordered) . I also saw there is a feature in the BCM to have the Front Turns On with DRLs. I enabled it and it looks sick! Having the Turns in the headlight and the mirrors on with the DRLs looks incredible. Problem is when you enable that, the turn signals wont flash in the font... Has anyone tried this themselves and possibly found a solution? Attaching some pics for reference.

this would have been a simple relay change. Turn signals would rely on a relay that is normally Open, then when it gets power the relay would tell the signal to flash. You could change the behavior of the light by switching or even stacking relays.

In this brave new world of CanBus I'm not sure which things still operate on relays.

Thank you for commenting, and you are right that makes sense, I took an introductory electronic engineering course and from what I recall I concur.

Now its all handeled by programming, but finding what hex value to adjust to achieve this, who knows.

The last time I was in forscan I saw an option for "inhibit drl with turn signals" or "inhibit turn signals with drl". It was in one of the non as-built sections but I don't remember which one. Did you happen to see it or try it? It's been a few months since I saw it so it may be gone now.

I'm guessing if it works it either illuminates the turn signals when drl is on or turns off drl when turn signal is flashing.

Maybe that setting or a combo with the other setting you tried before will do it. Maybe it does nothing or maybe it turns your truck into a bomb....

I have a Lariat and I purchased the Diode Dynamic Switch Back Turn signals and quickly found out that they do not work with the Lariat. I contacted DD and they said they should work.....now if you look on their website they have a disclaimer saying they will not work with the Lariat. haha!

What ForScan changes did you make to enable Pkg lights with DRL? OR was in the "menu pull-downs"?
I swapped out Lariat lights into my XLT. And wanted the amber lights to come on with DRL as well.
The bulbs are dual filament, one obviously being turn signal, and as near as I can tell from the wiring diagram the other should be parking. But they don't come on with parking lights! But that could be my swap out changes, do these turn on with parking for a stock Lariat? Anyone with a Lariat?

The amber lights on the lariat headlights are turn signal only, the led strip doubles as the parking light (at 50% brightness)

Thanks Justin
I see the same on my transplants.
Odd thing is they put dual filament bulbs in both the XLT headlights and the Lariat ones. I am surprised Ford would wast the added pennies to use a dual filament in the Lariat.
I guess I can keep my single "filament" amber LEDs.
