Installed Oxilam LED turn signals

I have a nice vidoe with one Oxilam and one stock turn signal with the flashers on. But not sure how to block out my plate number in a video. (is that really necessary?) So I took a couple of screen shots. Even though this was in daylight, the drivers side is definitely brighter. Plus, you can see that the passenger side never really gets a chance to completely shut off before it lights again. Compared to the LED which has an instant off, instant on capability, which is extremely eye catching. The two pics are with the 4-way flashers running, with only the driver's side turn signal changed to LED. The first pic with both on, the second showing the off cycle with the passenger side still in the process of going dark.

I never block out my plate - everyone knows Soupie and P4500 - never knew why people do that? I guess I'm a nobody, the only thing I have worth stealing is my horde of 10mm wrenches and sockets ... you'll see once MadMax becomes real, my 10mms will go farther than any gold and silver! =D

i have a set i will give away. nothing wrong with them, just didnt realize i lose the park light with these, (doh!) so i went with something else. just pay shipping. first pm takes em

What do you mean you lost the park light? And what is the park light?

Parking light is basically the turn signal when you aren't turning. It should still be illuminated when you have your lights on and then flash brighter when you hit the turn signal

Are you saying the turn signal light is supposed to come on with the parking lights?

Parking light is basically the turn signal when you aren't turning. It should still be illuminated when you have your lights on and then flash brighter when you hit the turn signal

The Oxilam bulbs shown are 7440 bulbs and they will work just fine on a Lariat with the LED headlights, where the turn signals are only turn signals. The halogen headlights require a 7443 bulb. The 7443 bulb is a dual filement type bulb. One for turn signal and one for parking. Notice the 7440 bulb only has two contacts and the 7443 has four. To further confuse the issue the Lariats come with 7443 bulbs but the parking circuit is not wired in the connector.

I have switchback bulbs in my XLT similar to the Auxbeams shown. I run them as my DRLs, along with my fog lights, instead of low beams.

Are you saying the turn signal light is supposed to come on with the parking lights?

i wanted it to, and it doesnt with the Oxilam bulbs. unless i missed something when i hooked em up. but im sure i turned on the park lights and got nothing

Ok, I know I don't throw out stuff for no reason. I just checked the turn signal bulbs I took out of my '21 XLT. They are dual filament 1444 7444. So now I am totally confused about which LED replacement will work.

If you look at the Amazon add. Yes, I know scary. It lists 7443 and 7444 bulbs. Not sure the difference, obviously not much. What do the user manual say?

The owners manual says W21/5W, whatever the hell that is!
