I have noticed a slight headlight flicker with my OEM Lariat headlights. Has anyone else experienced this?

I have only noticed it when I turn right out of the alley behind my house in the morning and the headlights hit the garage at the end of the alley. Its pretty subtle almost like a flutter. I will try and get a video to share.

EDIT: To clarify, I think it is only my driver side headlight?

Have you checked your connections? Usually the first culprit.

Check to be sure that your battery is not on the way out . One of the most common causes for an LED to flicker is low power supply .

YIKES. The battery is barely a year old.
That doesn’t matter really. Our batteries are programmed in the BCM to only charge to 70% of full capacity. That is factory set but changeable using Forscan. The other thing that can kill them is short drives. Not enough charge time brings them down slowly. You’re most likely getting messages on FordPass saying electronics are shutting down to save battery.

A long drive or a good quality trickle charger can remedy that though. Most are seeing decent life out of ours knowing these things.

Well luckily my daily commute is 25 minutes and most of it is on the freeway going 65pmh. I also looked and have no messages on Fordpass

Are you familiar with Forscan? I reset my battery precentage to 90%. Several small electrical oddities have stopped on my truck, and no more deep sleep shutdowns. I have not a clue why Ford set the level so low...

I had this on the passenger side. It was self inflicted via Forscan. If you haven't messed with that, the BCM in particular, disregard. If it was, a reset fixed it.

Edited to add it was the DRL, for what it's worth.

Forscan will operate off of a smartphone. You need a Bluetooth OBD reader to connect to the truck.

different tech but my gsxr with aftermarket HID lights started flickering a few years back. turned out my battery was low because my stator wasn't charging it. don't know if it's relative but could be low battery or a fault in the charging system.
