DIY on a vinyl wrap, this past weekend didn’t get as far along as I wanted, only got to the hood and tailgate. slowly but surely I’ll have a complete wrap! But here’s a sneak peak!
Reason for wrap:
• To keep the original paint nice when Off-roading without having those pinstripes that occur from the desert trees and bushes!
• Flying debris and rocks from other trucks, leaving dings and scratches!
• GF nails messing with my door handle.
• love the color Oracal matte metallic graphite grey.

How easy was taking off the Ecoboost emblem on the tailgate? What did you do?
The ecoboost emblem was easy to come off! I used a heat gun to heat the( yes ) double sided tape and dental floss to help dislodge off!

Looks great! That colour really shows off the lines of the truck.

Man that looks good. I was planning to wrap my hood, roof, peragon cover (when I get it) and tailgate in a charcoal satin. Think it’ll look good on my lightning blue and pull in the Frey from the bumpers and grill. You’re making me want to do my whole truck!

Question; what does a good wrap job go for?

Do they make this in clear? I bought the HPR for a reason.

I thought about your wrap job this morning as we were traversing some farming roads to get to a fishing spot. We took some old pickups back in there and brush was wiping both sides of the trucks.

You can get clear wrap. It is one idea I had for trying to protect the sides of my truck when I drive old logging roads that are brushed in.

I priced the ranger at 2 local installers here in Vegas I got quoted 2100 at one place and 2400 at another! That’s why I decide to do it myself lol I’m such a tightwad!!!

I’m sure they have something like that, I bought the vivvid headlight clear wraps, you never know when a good size rock or debris will come flying right at you on the freeway!!
