how smooth the engine idle is at a stoplight. I don't use the auto on / off feature and yet at a stoplight there is no indication of the engine is even on as its so smooth. :)

I agree. Sometimes I have to look down to make sure I actually activated the auto stop/start it's so smooth.

I agree a Joe, I have no issues with excessive jounce, jitters, noise, etc; the ride quality is smooth, quiet AND comfortable!:inlove:

How it pins me to my seat in S mode when hitting the accelerator.
I'm impressed with how, when driving this truck, it makes me look at least 20 pounds thinner.
Oh, and what DrSafety said too.

The auto headlights. They come on during the day when I manually switch on the wipers, even intermittent. The dash gauges do not dim to night mode with headlights on/ wipers on during the day.

All the technology features and how well they work as I've never had these before. I really like the lane assist and the front crash alert which has helped more than a few times out here.

Everything about my Ranger. But especially when I get out of my truck( like today) and a young man comes up asking me all about the Ranger and telling me what a beautiful truck it is. Hard to stop smiling. Beautiful? Yes...yes it is!:sun::turkey:

The handling and drive train. I did not expect the truck to handle as well as it does, or get up and go.

Unfortunately, a lot of things aren't great about Ford in general. Cheaper materials/fit and finish/in general how resolved the ideas are are really behind say a Honda or Subaru. There's a lot of things that seem like they were "good enough" choices. Many of which sure, could be upgraded. But the problem is, you shouldn't need to pay more to get a good, resolved product.

Case in point, when I boot up my infotainment center, it will say "Disc Read Fail" for a few seconds because its a reused head unit, and they didn't bother to remove the CD drive from the boot order when they removed the CD drive. Or out of the 6 or so media buttons on the steering wheel, you'd think one would be "Play/Pause" as opposed to "select source." Guess how often I switch off the bluetooth on my phone intentionally vs how often I need to play/pause. These types of refinements are simply annoying, but do show a lack of rigor in the design process that exists in other car manufacturers.

Start/Stop in my truck is quite noticeable with a shudder when it starts, as well as the starter being as loud as it is on any other car.

Don't get me wrong, I love my truck, but impressed? There isn't a lot to be impressed by outside of how it drives. But, its a truck, the important bits are the drive-train, and that is damn good.

I think mine is pretty quiet when it starts compare to my old Ranger, When the gas kicks in on our Prius, it feels the same as my Ranger?
