Please let us know the result. I have not tested my Ranger on this, but my gut feeling is that "Superman" mode would have to cost us something is terms of mileage, but, even if so, it is well worth it for some kinds of driving. (I mainly use it for highway/freeway driving, moving back to "Dork" mode for city driving....)
Short answer - it didn't last a whole tank - it wasn't for me for full time driving:

I never use S mode...I am going to now. Looking forward to using this. I am at 3k miles and have been totally stoked on the power in D. I can just imagin the fun Ill have in S mode.

Been using this since my last post and s mode is fun. Literally breaking the tires loose often. However it did some really weird double shift yesterday and it didnt feel good at all. Anyone else having issues like thatvwith the transmission?

My odo crossed 1000 last week (don't laugh, short commute here), so I decided this morning it was time to try the S and take the LONG (3.5-mile) route to work.

I can only think of one word... WOW!
