Nice truck. My wife's mustang has leather seats and gets uncomfortable afterwhile. My ranger has the cloth seats and I really like it.

The day after I bought my Ranger Lariat FX4 I did a 1,300 mile trip from TX to NV. Two day trip and zero issues. Never had any complaints with the seat. Maybe it was the joy of a new truck purchase. But I hear seat complaints about the Ranger a few times by others.
Excuse me for being off topic, but I just have to comment. Very cool avatar @Megawatt! :like:

I cant comment on the OP's seats, but mine can be bothersome at times during longer trips.
adjusting at some point is the only option, but then i have to go back to my preferred short trip seating arrangement later.

my 2017 Focus is still the most comfortable, even better than the F150's I've had in the past.
I did a few long 15 hours drives and felt great the whole time.

i'm curious on the OP's loss/gain on the trade though.
Times are crazy, did he lose his shirt on it, or walk out with an extra fat wallet that would have made the seats uncomfortable in itself.
Well I could’ve taken the modifications off an probably got the same trade price, they wanted to give me 38k. I said it’s 40k or no deal and I put a good amount down so my payment is lower.

The ranger was purchased December 2020 for 42k. So I don’t think it’s too bad, definitely didn’t give me more than I paid like other dealers had told me. So I got jipped on my modifications, and everyone says the seats are comfortable. Me an my friend both have a weight difference, and each of us had our right cheek throbbing.

That's a real beauty enjoy it, the F150's ride very nice i had a '18 SC for 3 years and was totally impressed in how it rode & handled, very comfy.
Although the overall size was a bit of a PITA in parking lots and a full size truck w/the V8 5.0 turned out not to be practical for me, the only thing that is a difference is the interior cab space (obviously smaller with the Ranger) the bed size went from 6.5 to the Rangers 6 so that's a wash, and both towed/tow my boat equally well.

I remember when you could get ski boots that you filled with foam to fit your feet. Maybe somebody can invent a seat cushion that fill with foam while you sit on it. Some people are odd butts ref. damper people. LOL
The technology exists. They use expanding foam to to fit race seats to the vehicle occupants. Lots of videos on YouTube showing the process.

Try putting your wallet in your front pocket?
Reading through this thread made me think the same thing. I moved my wallet from my back pocket to my front pocket a couple of years ago and my butt no longer hurts on one side after a drive.

People don't realize how carrying one of these throws your hips off. I've been using a money clip for over 30 years and get by just fine with it. My back feels much better driving and you don't have this huge lump digging into you.

Plus most have wallets that look like this anyways.

Yep.

I went to front pocket decades ago.

A few years back my wife got me the Ridge wallet. Love that thing!

Those are great! I have one similar that I take on vacation when I need to bring more cash and cards along. When I'm driving longer distances I'll toss it in the center console.

I’ve made a couple of trips over 600 miles each way and lots of trips through the Mark Twain National Forest with varying terrain. I have no complaints on seat comfort, the rear end can be a bit stiff on pavement and washboard gravel roads .nothing too uncomfortable though but room for improvement.
