yep, I previously said my lariat Tremor was "almost" as good as the Ranger Raptor and I wasn't interested and didn't need it and....blah, blah blah........well, I went for it and bought one today!!!....My Tremor was having tranny issues and the dealer did the valve body replacement 1,000 miles ago......and was kinda giving me the run around when I said I wanted it fixed the right way with either the CDF drum replaced or a new tranny as per the TSB.....but was getting lots of pushback from the same dealer......and the tranny was getting worse.....much worse actually as was really slow shifting and then slamming into gear.....it previously almost left me stranded and I had it towed to the dealer.......and I was done trying to convince the dealer to keep it for a day or 2 and drive the shit out of it to see for themselves.......all the dealer wanted to do was have the tranny tech "check it out"......I'm no dummy...that means "it's fine and that's how it suppose to feel".....

So Carmax offered me $30,000 for my Tremor and there is a Lariat Tremor exactly like mine within 10 miles from me at a Lexus dealership listed for $34,500....so I figure I could sell mine to a private party and wait weeks and weeks or try to trade-in knowing a Ford dealership might pay a lil more then Carmax.....

Long story short, the dealer gave me $31,00 which was actually $1,000 more then I was going to settle for.......and I got the $4,000 mark-up down to $2,000 over which isn't bad for So CA!.....I thought about buying from a dealer out of state for msrp but with driving back and/or shipping and not knowing how to deal with my trade-in I decided this deal was a winner for me!......so I got a decent amount for my Trade-in ($31,000) and I paid $2k over msrp which is not bad considering I see them ranging from a minimum over $5k over to $10k over locally.....

anyway.....LOVE it!!.....Memory seats...finally!!.......and my previous test drive was a joke as the sales guy back then didn't tell me I can change the steering wheel settings from comfort to normal to sport which makes the steering feel easy, medium or harder......and the different exhaust options....quiet, normal, sport and baja.......sounds awesome!........the huge screen is pretty bad-ass and easy to use once you figure it out......love the orangeish-red accents inside......the seats are super comfy......and yes it's powerful......it has a warning at 3,000 rpm to ease off until the truck hits 500 miles so I've been taking it easy today but once it hits 500 miles the rpm waring goes away and it'll be time to shake and bake!

anyway, THANKS A MILLION TO EVERYONE for your friendship and advice and also to help me with my 5g Tremor journey but now I'll be moving over to the Ranger 6G forum to spend some more $$$ on mods!...LOL

here it is....Azure grey with beadlock capable rims and the graphics package.....

Great twin trucks in OC. I was wondering when that was going to sell with that low adm. Congrats! After you break it it sport + baja exhaust is a blast!

you had me convinced to look out of state for one.......but I wanted to just trade mine in to avoid driving it any longer and risk any more tranny issues.....I knew my Lariat Tremor looked great and had some nice mods which doesn't add any value but might help them sell it faster.....I was expecting $30k and happily took $31K.....they asked what I wanted for my trade-in and I just said "give me your best shot up front".......and they first stuck to $4k over msrp on the RR but after much back and forth and a reminder I previously bought my Lariat Tremor from them and I was a serious buyer we made it work at $2k over.......with no added BS!!....no gimmicks like adding scotch guard or window tint or digital license plate.....I just said I want the truck at that price with nothing extra......so went through financing without any high pressure sales tactics which was nice.......even better I had the $$$$ to pay for it in full so no payments!

Thanks and so far loving the truck!....I did sign up for the 6G site last night and was "approved" this morning.....there was a nice complete list of aftermarket mods available for the RR on the site and I actually used it to get the correct part # for the folding hard tonneau cover ......the link went to Realtruck but Amazon had the Ultra Armorflex cover for $300 less which was great and it arrives Thursday......stubby antenna ordered as well as a better armrest cubby tray.....

but yes, you guys are awesome HERE so I'll probably hang out and pop in once in a while!

LOL, I still come here first and go there from the link on top.

it's partly your fault I bought a RR....you said you got it at MSRP....that made me look more seriously (just kidding!!).....and my crappy tranny issue didn't help either!.....I just hope some poor sucker doesn't buy it like that and they actually go through it with a fine tooth comb and get the tranny fixed right before they list it for sale!
