When I take my Ranger in for yearly inspection and/or oil change at Ford service department, I have to "tell" them to use my FordPass points at payment time. Last time I forgot, could have kicked myself for forgetting. And the dealer keeps not taking any off my account.
Free oil changes for life anyone?
If they aren't taking the points off, are they even charging you for the oil changes? And the dealer keeps not taking any off my account.

Late reply here, but yes this is exactly what I am saying.OR are you saying you tell them to use your points, you walk out of there without paying anything and your point balance hasn't been deducted from??
Aren't the points about to stop accumulating? I thought it was this month sometime. I've already stopped using it.....replaced it with a hotel card that gives 3% back on gas, which was the main reason I got Ford Pass (on top of using it for 10% back on Ford maintenance).Late reply here, but yes this is exactly what I am saying.
I get an oil change. I say "I'd like to pay with Fordpass points." I walk out with no cash out of pocket. Days, weeks and months later, my points balance never gets lower.
I'm just kinda waiting for them to figure it out, but they don't. My current Fordpass points balance only grows, never gets smaller. around 70,000 now or so.
The points go on, they just won't accumulate with the card after 5/27 when FordPass ends its relationship with First Bank National of Omaha (FBNO). The points should still be awarded and honored independently when you buy Ford parts/accessories/maintenance/repairs, but they won't accumulate on the card, or be awarded for other purchases after 5/27. FBNO will replace FordPass with a new card campaign called Gear Up, which has broader based points accumulation and incentives starting May 28. New GU cards will be issued by mid July. Same account number, interest rates, credit limit, etc you have now.Aren't the points about to stop accumulating? I thought it was this month sometime.
