Most of my compliments come from Taco owners funny enough.

Last week I went to get some custom door trim for my sisters house and the parking lot had (3) Taco's. I was getting ready to load up (2) 10' pieces and one of the employees walks up with the manager and gave me a compliment while the manager joked "Sure you can haul that much?" I replied with "If I was driving a Taco I would have to make two trips". Both laughed and the manager mumbled...."Be funnier if it wasn't true".

Hey Marc Happy New Year!!

One of my customers back east has the first year Tundra, it's so small my 2016 Tacoma was bigger than it. It's amazing how big they've got and I'm afraid the Ranger will soon be the size of the current F150 before to long.
I think some of it is mission creep. The truck makers are striving every year for their trucks to be the most powerful, best payload, best towing, best everything. And they really are remarkable. When equipped properly, a current F-150 will do the same duty as an F-350 from 15-20 years ago. But, to get that capability, they need to get bigger. And bigger. And bigger. Current full sized trucks are absolutely massive. I will give them credit, though. Full sized trucks are incredibly capable machines that ride well, and have all the luxury touches.
The Ranger is guilty of the same thing. My '87 from back in the day, I could reach over to the passenger door and crank the window. If my current Ranger had crank windows, I couldn't reach that far. Not that I mind. Of course I'm biased, but I think the current Ranger is right in the sweet spot. Capable enough for just about everything I need to do, but still fits in my garage and I can park it in a parking lot without looking at 90% of the spots and thinking "No way."

I've had my Ranger for a bit over a year now, and still get questions. Just last week a fella tracked me down in the Crackle Barrel to ask about the truck. He just ordered one, and wanted to know how mine was doing. Strangely with these trucks being out for three years now, I still don't see that many on the road.

One of the first compliments I got was a Taco owner at work. He said if Ford was producing the Ranger when he bought his he would have gotten the Ford. I get compliments from time to time, sometimes on the color.
I recently got pulled over and the cop was asking a lot about it and he really liked it. Said he never saw one up close. If I hadn't been going 15mph over, he still might not have seen one up close!

Once or twice a month at work I have vendors stop and ask "is that your Ranger?...how do you like it?"
I tell them I like it so much I traded my '19 for a '21 ?

My son has a 2015 F150. He’s a plumber so it’s always loaded up for calls. He asked if he could borrow the Ranger to grab some parts he needed an hour away. I have only one rule, use my truck bring it back with a full tank of high test.
Later that day he returns and drops off the key. Then exclaimed, man I love your truck. Don’t get me wrong, I need the payload space I got but if I didn’t need it this is what I would be in. Oh! And some stranger was drooling all over it too. Had to tell him it was yours because I didn’t know some of the answers!

I just got compliments for Rapid Red FX4 from a few people at our usual breakfast joint. One of them was going to buy a taco until I told him lower price more power and higher tow capacity. He said really going to look seriously at the Ranger also thinks it’s better looking… duh ?

Had a Chic-fil-A worker compliment my truck and ask me how I like it as he began to tear up. Turns out he and his family were struck by a Damn drunk driver on the interstate while in his 2019 Fx4 Ranger. Truck was totaled but family was unscathed in the offset frontal collision!

Uhuh. That's why they came out with the Maverick.

Question is, how much bigger can the F-150 get?

Unfortunately I think you're right and it's going to get bigger.

How much bigger?

Occasionally get the 'Nice truck Bro', The thing that threw me was someone asking me what kind of truck it is. Well, it's got a blue oval on the front and rear, has 'Ranger' in red letters on the grill, fender vents and tail gate. But I get it. The style is so much different from the other brands that all look alike.

I live in the Colorado Rockies, which is Toyota Tacoma land. When you tell someone you bought a truck, they go right to asking what trim level Tacoma you got. Seriously, it's that bad.

So, I've had my '19 Ranger Lariat in Oxford White for a whopping two-ish weeks now. I've been stopped three times now to get a compliment on 'wow, that's a really nice truck!'.

Just today at the post office, a lady in a really nice F-150 walks up to the passenger window and asks me how I like the Ranger. . . How does it ride? . . . This is the one with all the bells and whistles, right? Mind telling me what you paid? She says she wants to buy one for her husband. (lucky guy!) She says the F-150 is nice, and rides well, but is just . . . too much. Can't park it anywhere. I told her I love my Ranger so far, and while the ride is good, it's certainly more truck like than my old Subaru.

It's nice people notice! :)
I know what you mean as I Uber with mine! It is like they didn't know Rangers exist. Ford should have done more advertising.

I was driving the other day, saw another ranger, looked like a 2019. He had a bull bar and a sports rack on it. I pull up next to him, he was checking out my ranger too. Then i sped off. Usually when I see another ranger driver, they don't pay attention.

I have 2021 Ranger Black Lariat Tremor, and I get at least 2 compliments, questions, or curious inquiries about it a week. I was shocked, as I went from a 5.0 GT Mustang to something more practical. Odd that a truck would get more attention than my Mustang did.
