Most vehicles do as long as you have an engine block heater, transmission pan heater, battery maintainer, and oil pan heater plugged in. All the cars up here have little extension cords dangling out the front grill so you can plug them in when it gets cold. You do have to be careful with the plastic and even some of the thin metal because everything gets really brittle at those temps. Coldest I’ve seen it here was -56, and most folks still went to work.
When are you people gonna learn that human beings aren't meant to live in a place like that? HA!

Yeah, but I still maintain it's a lot easier to just jump into a pool than it is to build a fire.
I agree 100%. I lived through 50 years of freezing winters back in MA and I enjoyed them when I was younger skiing and snowmobiling. Then I got to the point where I didn't anymore and while our summers are tough, it sure beats the blistering cold, wind and black ice. Everyone has to pick their poison and I'd rather be warm than cold. But I'll still complain about the heat in August when I've had enough of it. lol

There is something beautiful about the challenge of functioning during the depths of winter, between the near constant dark, and the freezing cold, that I really enjoy, as strange as that is. Plus I have rather misanthropic tendencies, and all that combines to keep a lot of people away from here. A win win!

You all could live in a place that has both and get the worst of both worlds. The shoulder months are nice though. :sunglasses:
It's pretty nice here 7-8. months out of the year. The winters do get cold and we've seen our share of upper 20's at times but usually mid 30's is average. It's just cold enough to remind me I can't do freezing temps anymore and if/when we do move we'll have to go back to being snowbirds. The heat is relentless during the summer but it's never stopped me from doing much, you just have to do outdoor stuff really early. Spring and fall are perfect and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else during those times. :sun::tumbleweed:

The challenge never ebbs but the ability and even desire to meet it did.
Maybe it wouldn't have if I had lived in the interior instead of the coast.
I brought the misanthropic with me to the desert. It's not out of place here.

Where did you live when you were up here?

There should be a manual with the dampers that is like the owners manual that shows the different oil viscosity such as 0w-30 below certain temp instead 0f 5w-30. If DEE-ZEE would do this then there could be a discussion about oil viscosity, and the debate about which brand, viscosity, that would perform better. The possibilities are endless.

Dino oil ? Semi Synthetic ? Synthetic ?
Do we need too, and how often, should the oil be tested for contaminates ?
Are additives needed ?
Should the oil be filtered ? If yes, will a filter kit be in the package, or an additional add on cost ?
Kind of like adding air too a tire...which is best...high altitude air, low altitude air, sea level air, ocean air, desert air, new air, used air, regular air, high test air, air-air ?
Endless possibilities !!!

A full pot, dark roast whole bean that I grind, drink black. Ex Navy...if the spoon doesn't stand straight up, it's not strong enough !!! Gone by around 7am.
Bojangles at 8am to meet for "old farts breakfast", of course with more black coffee.
When I tinkle, it's not yellow, it's black !!!
Aside from beer, the only beverage that's fit for human consumption !!!
