Just installed it and no instructions on how to drain or how often. Anyone seen any instructions?

How much is this thing and what does it help?
prevents oil from being sent back into the intake, which will keep the octane of the fuel being degraded.
Also keeps the valves cleaner.
Id recommend it for any multi/direct injection vehicle.

appears you take it out?

myself I would add a drain valve and make it easier.
it takes a few seconds to unplug the two pcv hoses and tip it over a pan, or just unscrew 4 bolts.
If you do it every oil change its not a big deal, shouldnt collect that much within 3-5k miles.

Have a jlt one in my lightning and its 1/4 filled every 2500miles, but lots of boost bein thrown at it.

I had no idea Ford made one of their own! Looking at the instructions, looks like a 10min install?

Shoot, better than nothing. I may have to order one up today. Now having 30k miles I have been wanting a catch can for some time.

I see for the 2021-23 Ranger, Ford list M-6766-B23, did you have any issues?

Yes. Actually it only should be for 2019. You can make it work. Ford performance now has changed it on their page to be for only up to 2019 since that was the last year there was a sensor installed. Yes this is a catch can.

Last page of the manual shows a picture of it installed.

I tried to find someone on YouTube with it but only Mustangs it seems. Sits in the front of the engine. Pretty sweet factory looking part. Apparently these are stock on their Shelby Mustangs with the track pack on them. Either way, think I am going to pick one up.

I find myself draining my catch can every 1000 miles or so, much more frequently than an oil change

From other threads there are two versions of this for the Ranger and they are year dependant.

Does Ford recommend what intervals to check/drain? I would imagine the consequences of letting this get too full would be as bad as letting a catch can filling up over capacity.

This is one item on my list of what to purchase.. I would think that the aftermarket built ones as there are a few are better than the factory Ford. Anyone have an opinion on this?

Why would you think aftermarket ones are better engineered than Ford? At least the Ford one probably got signed off on by an engineer.

So to determine which one to get do I just check to see if my truck has that sensor or not? The Ford info says 1 of them in for 19-21 and the other is 22-23 but from looking around 2019 was the last year with the sensor.
