I've been driving a lot lately and it hit 42K miles.

No problems other than:

Replaced HPFP at 4k miles for making its own oil

Driver seat clunking (TSB 21-2236) at 12k miles

Multiple times to the dealer for transmission shifting and HVAC issues.

Transmission rebuilt and HVAC box replaced at 36k miles

Makes me wonder, hmmm, I'm considering trading my 3.2 diesel on a 6G hybrid Ranger, which uses the 2.3 Ecoboost, but Ford has derated for the hybrid role. If they last this long in standard trim then a detuned one should last longer. Fords, reason for detuning was officially, to improve fuel economy, I do wonder in reality if they were worried about the extra power from the electric motor and the 10 speed which is already marginal. Interesting that Rangers built in China use the ZF 8 speed box not Fords 10 speeder.

Any issues with transmission or HVAC box after fixes? I need HVAC for sure

Just hit 60,000 miles of a lot of Nevada desert road cruising and tight 2 track climbing. On my 2nd rear end and have had no other issues even with all the modifications

None with the HVAC box.

The transmission initially still shifted like crap but has smoothed out over the last several thousand miles.

Even now though, it will still occasionally enter the "I don't know what I'm doing" shift mode for a few seconds, though it doesn't clunk or slam into gears like it did.

At 72,000 miles and making my third trip on the Alaska Highway.
Passing slow traffic with plenty of power and riding those frost heaves. My 2019 has been rock solid.
