Mouse got into my glove compartment around the same time my air bag light started to stay on. Ford dealer checked system yesterday and will be removing dash to get to restraint control module today. Dang mouse I'll bet and not covered by warranty.
Being new to towing a few years back, I learned a lot from this forum. Adding a second battery to increase the tongue weight helped a lot. I have a Fastway E2 WDH, but it is too stiff (I think) and bounces the trailer and truck too much. Thinking about going to an Andersen WDH hitch.
Never had a problem with mice. Now I have one chewing up paper in glove box .... and the front air bag lights stay on. So it seems that mice may have chewed up a sensor wire. Ughhhh !
2019 Ranger with 42,000 miles. Was driving slow to park. Truck suddenly accelerated. Stomped on brakes and stopped about a foot before hitting a post. First time it happened. I don't have a floor mat, so not a floor mat issue. Is it worth bringing to dealer now or wait to see if it happens...
Brake controllers work by varying the voltage to the magnet when applying brakes. So when I repacked by own wheel bearings a few years back and the brakes didn't grab the same afterwards. After much cussing, it turned out to be loose connection at one wire nut splice.
Purchased new 2019 XL/STX with 40,000 miles and towed travel trailer roundtrip CA to AK on Alcan. No problems, except for battery replacement under warranty. Very happy with truck.
I went with General Grabber HTS60 and very happy with them. Pulled a single axial travel trailer similar to yours 7,000 miles round trip to Alaska from CA. Used WDH and mostly highway miles.
Quick Lane at Elk Grove has been great. Had to go to Quick Lane in Soldotna, AK this summer. They were super busy, but squeeze me in that week and did great job.
Have had zero problems with my 2019, except for a blend door squeak. 38,000 miles, with 7,000 miles of it pulling a small travel trailer to Alaska and back to Sacramento.
Yep, very happy with my Ranger too. 36 month warranty expired Oct 30. Only issues were a dead battery and blend door noise behind glove box. Ran great on a road trip from California to Alaska towing a small travel trailer.
Original battery lasted 6 months. Replaced under warranty 2.5 years ago and going strong. Biggest benefit was that ASS stopped working are battery replaced.
