Usually after I've been out wheelin' the Ranger, I pressure wash the undercarriage with my cheapy (> $100) electric pressure washer. Sometimes I have to lay on my side on the driveway to get up under the truck. Then I take it down the street to the quickie hand-wash place. to do the outside. :D

I use one of the undercarriage pressure washer attachments like posted before. It's a lifesaver when washing underneath. Easy to attach and take off and keeps me from having to crawl around my concrete driveway and getting soaked. First world problems, lol.

I just go to the touchless places with an underspray if I need to get some salt off. Getting caked on mud/clay is a whole different story though, underspray won't do anything. I typically use a pressure washer and get 90% off. After that, it's the good ol' garden hose and lay on my back lol. There's no other way to get into the nooks and crannies, as well as flushing out the inside of the frame, without getting a little wet yourself. Hope it's warm for you haha.

I just cleaned mine a few weeks ago. I used the pressure washer at the coin wash (self serve) and spray as much as I can. Then I get under there with a bucket and wheel brush and scrub using Adam’s multi purpose cleaner (yellow) then hit it with Adam’s under carriage spray (purple) to keep it oily and prevent dirt from sticking. Takes 3 hours. And yes, it gets very messy!

After I get back from the trail I simply park over a sprinkler.

Pull the truck forward after a few minutes.

Repeat once more.

The underside looks pristine.

I use one of these type sprinklers.

If it's really muddy I'll go somewhere else first to get the thick stuff off.

It's part of off roading...I do my best to power wash the parts that I can reach but the rest underneath will become permanent part of my truck...when it rains, I go full send into the biggest water puddle I can find...as many times as I can...

The GOOD powerwashers like the bigger Simpsons really earn their keep getting the dirt off (and salt in the winter). And you can't powerwash your house and driveway with a coin wash.
