Our winter here really hasn't been too bad overall, either. Just the colder weather and short gloomy days really wear on me.I live in south eastern Massachusetts. It was -6F when I got up at 6am this morning. But overall this winter has been more fall like than winter. Only one day in the month of January was below average at 35F. The temp tomorrow is going to be back into the upper 40s and starting Monday for the rest of the week it will be in the 50s. Plus we haven't had enough snow to bother shoveling. I will be thrilled if it stays the same through February into March.
We typically get a few days every winter where the temps drop to zero or a few degrees below and will get a week or two straight where the temps barely get into the 20s. It ticks me off how the media makes such a big deal out of cold weather especially how they sensationalize wind chill numbers. All the weather forecasts wanted to talk about was the -108F wind chill on the top of Mt. Washington yesterday.
