Truck has 70k on it, got a tranny fluid change and filter. Now truck shifts rough under load and is gear hunting. Never had an issue until now with shifting. Bottom of the truck is also covered in fluid which I’m not sure if because something blew or the techs left a total mess. See video, Had this happen to me yesterday. Is it possible this is normal for the 10r80 or do you think the dealer fucked something up

If they reflashed the tranny after the fluid change that might explain the shifting issues but the bottom of the truck shouldn’t be ”covered in fluid” no matter how sloppy the tech was.

I’d be concerned that the pan gasket is leaking and get in touch with the dealer right away.

Also, you have a metric instrument cluster but your profile shows your location as USA - odd.

I agree with the fluid, suspect possibly left dipstick cap off, or pan gasket is leaking, that dipstick is out of sight, out of mind.

Was it a flush or a drain and fill? If it's a flush I want to know what fluid they used. Unfortunately some dealerships are using BG transmission fluid instead of the OEM fluid and that will cause problems

Its taking every fiber of my being not to comment on this?
All I can picture now is John Candy in Stripes. When he was in the ring mud wrestling and got busted by the MP's . ?

my first thought was who did the fluid change.

I had a trans fluid change done in my 98 Ranger (MT) not long after I bought it. shop (3rd party chain shop) put gearbox fluid in and I couldn't get out of 2nd. took it to a trans shop who told me I needed to rebuild my trans. that seemed sketch and Ford dealer actually figured out the fluid issue. got the original shop to pay for it to be fixed (which took multiple flushes to get the wrong stuff out).

I guess there's still a possibility the wrong fluid was put in (as per @Frenchy). but I absolutely agree if you see a mess, take it back.

This. Except have it towed back.

I had exact same experience as your video...trans fluid blew out underneath from who know where and wrench came on...pulled off and it stuck in 5th...
