Glad to hear your truck is working well at nearly 100k! Mine had the wastegate replaced under warranty at 34k miles, but otherwise has been flawless. Only at 36k now but hoping for 200k at least. In my stock 4x4 supercab I averaged about 26mpg this summer, hand calculated. The dash showed as high as 28mpg for a whole tank. This is driving on winding 55mph roads with no traffic and no stops, but a decent number of hills. Low elevation too, max 1000ft. In the winter here in Utah I can barely get 20mpg, usually 19ish hand calc. Lots of city driving, and driving up and down a 7 mile, 7% canyon road whenever I want to go anywhere. The elevation, snow tires, warm ups and winter blend gas probably all contribute. I live at 8600ft and drive down to town at 4300ft to get groceries and gas etc. People put heavy tires and all kinds of BS on their trucks then bitch about getting 16mpg. Ford designed it to get the best mileage it could, if you care about mpg just leave your truck alone and enjoy getting the advertised range of 20 city 24 highway.

Congrats on the miles accumulation. I have averaged 20.5 winter fuel blend, 23.5 summer fuel blend over the past ~59k. I managed 26.7 mpg hand calc'ed one time before, pussyfooting it and driving 65mph.

Good luck on the next 100k.

Owner says no issues at all, original transmission.

I believe it. Mine just hit 105K and shifts better than it did when I bought it. It stumbled around when new and I guess that was its learning curve, so to speak. Now it's flawless, no issues whatsoever.

Just hit 110,000 miles today and everything is going very well! All original, no issues with anything. Truck starts and runs just like the first day I got it. Tranny is perfect, shifts perfect, no hiccups whatsoever. Mileage holding steady at 26, even with off-roading every weekend out in the Florida everglades. The only things that I've done to this truck is routine oil changes at my local dealer along with a set of tires. That's it.

Thanks a lot for the encouraging report on your tranny...gives me hope that maybe I can drive the Ranger for a lot of miles without tranny problems. Have you done anything as far as maintaining and servicing the tranny?

Mine likewise did not shift smoothly for the 1st few hundred miles but after the learning program phase started shifting perfectly and still does at 13,000. My truck has been flawless except for a few minor things which were easily corrected. Please keep updating your experience with your truck!

I've done nothing to the transmission, still has the original fluid. I was thinking to have a flush done soon. My previous F150 I had flushed out at about 120,000 miles with little to no change in the way the tranny performed. All in all, everything is exactly the same as when I purchased my Ranger, even the engine coolant. The only thing that's been changed or filled is the oil and the window washer fluid. Brake pads still have many more miles to go. Amazing, if you ask me.
