Good to hear! I’ve had 2 Rangers, 2019 and my current 2024 and they behave exactly the same. I really wasn’t looking to get into another Ranger. It happened on an oil change day, kicking around in the dealer showroom killing time…well, I drove off with the 2024 that graced the floor. I can...
They do grow on ya. I still miss my 2019.
Like I told the other guy in this post who said he never saw them, they’re all over the place down here in South Florida, and it was kind of funny that after I posted that and on the way to work there was yet another one. I just had to snap the pic in...
Dunno, man, I’m seeing newer Rangers all over the place down here in south Florida, almost every time I go out. So the word is gettin out somehow. They’re all over the place, and I’m not looking for them, either. Often, they’re right next to me, beside me, or behind me. Maybe they attract each...
Maybe so but I still think some folks drive the crap out of them. Folks say a lot of other things about these trucks that I’m just not seeing myself, like the gas mileage, saying it’s unlikely to get what I’m getting which is 26-27 city. Maybe it’s the Florida flat roads, who knows. I bought my...
Ford seems to be doing pretty good, although I don’t follow much what’s going on with their QC, stocks, and so forth. I was only speaking about the Ranger as it relates to all these problems that I’ve been hearing about. Since 2019 I’ve owned THREE Rangers. So I have a solid base to go by. Not...
I hear about blown up engines, transmission falling a part, and many other issues but just can’t see it. I’ve also heard of folks beating the living crap out of these trucks, drag racing, chip tuning, all kinds of performance mods. As far as basic driving on the road goes, the Ranger should last...
Engine replacement? What failed? I put over 130,000 miles on my 2019 Ranger and when I traded it in, the engine ran as good as the first day I drove off the lot. Never a single issue. And is one of the reasons I got a 2024 because of the reliability of the 2.3.
I've had two F-150's that I purchased new and liked them both, espeically the first one, the last year they made the 5 speed manual. Loved that truck. Both were very nice trucks but I LIVED at the gas stations! And with their big gas tanks, the bill kept on getting bigger and bigger. I cringed...
Sure will. It’s pretty much the same as my last truck with some intriguing tech. It’s one of those XLT’s that has almost everything a lariat has except the leather seats….but at thousands less. Couldn’t pass it up. I’m quite confident that it will run out like my last one.
I’ve always relied on the gauge. My 2024 is getting even better mileage. I even think it’s a heavier truck, taller and wider. All in all, I’m sure it’s close because my wallet meter says so lol
truly, a great truck everything on mine was original. I only changed tires twice and I went with the original tires. The new Rangers are bigger wider higher kind of getting away from that midsize view. I miss the aluminum front bumper on the original. All plastic on the newer ones. I also see...
No, it was not the 10 speed, 8 speed, which I don't think was the same unless they just added some gears to it. Had 150,000 miles on it when I traded it in for my 2019 Ranger.
Or do like me, just drive it and let it do what it's supposed to do and don't let these bad stories concern you. My tranny at 135,000 miles was untouched, all original. I think Ford recommends the flush at 150,000, which I had done on my F150. No noticeable difference on that truck, still drove...
It seems like a few on here have had these crazy tranny problems but I, for one, cannot vouch for any of those cases. My previous Ranger had seen the works, off-road, constant daily usage, over 135,000 miles with not the slightest hiccup. Now, that's not to say that other's haven't' seen the...
Well, I know it will, hope it will! Only thing I did was change the oil every 3k miles. The 2024 is kinda the same truck, just refined. I'm digging some of the features it has. All in all, quite happy. I got the 24 for a good deal, during an oil change at the Quick Lane, walking around the...
