Oh lord I guess I lost second place now too…. Damnit!
85k here and well my experience has not been going as good as everyone else it would seem. Most issues have been fixed but I’ll mark the ones not fixed:
ABS went down
Power steering went down
Fuel gauge went down (not fixed)
Rear axle eats sensors
Transmission shutters from 2-4 (not fixed)
Spark plugs rusted
Torn E brake cover
Parking sensors ghost beep(not fixed)
Moisture inside fog light (not fixed)

on the bright side, my valves have been good thanks to my catch can, my battery is still stock and going strong, and the tail gate goes down as smooth as Sean Connery 007.
Repeated flushes, sensor changes, tuning, etc for many of the fixes.

Gee, that's a lotta problems to be fixed......wonder what the heck was fixed lol. And this IS a newer Ranger? Shaking my head.

Noticed I get better mpg avg than most as well. Mostly due to 0 elevation. Have been getting 24-26mpg consistently last 18 months on 17" tires & 2.5" lift w FP tune
I get much better mileage in the flat "low country" of South Carolina than I do in the hills of central North Carolina.

I think you're right. The elevation and flat roads must have something to do with it. I've posted on here before about my mileage and got slammed.... "impossible!" "inaccurate" "dreaming" words like that. From day one I've always been in the high 20's almost pegging 30 on long highway trips. Very light on my wallet. Over hills, towing, or even drag racing (which I see they do with these trucks) the mileage gonna suffer, for sure.

Same here. We're at just under 1000' elevation and when we go up north to Sedona or Flagstaff I can watch my MPG tick down. Even the slightest inclines (steep entrance ramps) will effect it as you're getting into the boost more. But I will say while traveling through Colorado last June I got some really good MPG in the higher elevations there. A few averaged 24-25 mpg but I think having the tune helps there too.

Zane, congrats on the great report! My 19' Ranger is almost at 97K and I can report the same....except the mileage.

Which brings me to your wonderful gas mileage.....
The ONLY way you are getting 26.5 miles per gallon in your Ranger is driving that thing like a granny.....

That is not meant to be an insult.....just a fact....

Hope you get at least another 95K out of that transmission......I'm hoping for the same.

The elevation could be a reason. Mine changes around 100' just to get to the bottom of my driveway. Fortunately the county I'm in doesn't have the same restrictions as the adjacent county (which is literally across the main road from me). I wouldn't even have been able to build my driveway there. And I have around another 700' just to get down to the main road. I'm in the hilliest part of Nashville. I do watch the instant some and it's in single digits going up to my house.
That wouldn’t be Ashland City now would it?

The only problem i've had from day one and Ford says they can't fix it is with the infotainment screen freeze if i try to use it in conjunciton with FordPass.
I don't understand, how do you use FordPass "in conjunction with" the infotainment system. Do you mean Android Auto? The only time I use FordPass for is when I am not in the truck.

How in the world are you getting over 26 mpg? Granted I have a Tremor and now with the performance pack, but was only getting 17.5 pre performance and now 16.2 afterwards.
Do you have LT tires? Curious.

Apparently the computer system is so intertwined, when something like a speed sensor goes out, it triggers ABS and power steering. Saves the F’d data and then it stays turned off. I cleared all memory with a tuner and by the third eaten sensor it seemed to fix it.

I've managed 28.5 on long trips in South Carolina, esp, when I start from Central North Carolina. Elevation slowly drops from 500' to 10' above sea level. Going back I lose a few points - down to 26.5. To get that mileage I keep RPMs low, never above 2,000, and plan my stops well in advance. If I simply drive I get 22-24mpg.

Sorry to bust your assumption....but I drive it as hard or as normal as anyone else, mainly in the busy city on I-95 else in the everglades. I take it miles out in the everglades on the narrow levy bumping and skidding all over the place, hauling a 12ft fishing kayak. I do this twice, sometimes three times a week--day and night. Some of them levy roads are a challenge for 4x4's let alone a 2wd with a locking diff. Yet I still maintain the mileage that I posted, yes sir, and that's a fact.

Yours appear stock...modified trucks pay a high price for MPG loss...

Well, there you go…there’s some folks on this forum who say mpg like that (26-28) is physically impossible for this truck. Just ain’t so. And you don’t have to drive like a grandma, either lol.
