keep it under 60 'Murican speed units (or 372kph for the others)
my average speed is around 28 mph. Work out of the house and the majority of my driving is to the grocery store or Lowes. I've had it 16 months but only 9738 miles.

From day one I've always gotten fantastic mileage. Maybe it's the flat roads in Florida, I don't know. I use the truck hard, too, hauling around a kayak long distances out in the Everglades for bass fishing tournaments. It sure feels nice on the wallet!
The elevation could be a reason. Mine changes around 100' just to get to the bottom of my driveway. Fortunately the county I'm in doesn't have the same restrictions as the adjacent county (which is literally across the main road from me). I wouldn't even have been able to build my driveway there. And I have around another 700' just to get down to the main road. I'm in the hilliest part of Nashville. I do watch the instant some and it's in single digits going up to my house.

Thanks for the progress report. Non events are rarely reported and it skews the impression of how reliable these trucks usually are. In 18 months of ownership my truck has given me zero problems. My wife’s 2022 Lexus has been in the shop three times.
Wow, I didn't know that. I guess it's like with most anything, reporting only the flaws and judging from that. Not with this truck! I'm Just calling the shots the way they've been for me. I had a couple of F-150's (purchased new) prior to the Ranger and both had issues when the miles stacked on. I couldn't be happier with the way the Ranger is performing. With the miles I stack on, should break into the 100's pretty soon and will report back.

You're still on the same tires? Or did I misunderstand that?
Ties are stock...but second set. I've heard complaints about them as well but I cannot fathom why lol.

What can I say, nearing the 95,000 miles mark on my 2019 XLT and all is good...or should I say absolutely fantastic! I've had zero zip nada...not one single issue with this truck. It has seen the worst of roads. In fact, I drive it weekly off-road down here in the Florida Everglades. The engine is perfect, runs just like the first day off the show room floor. I've had no issues with anything else on the truck, either, not one single hiccup. Everything is functioning as good as new. I've performed routine maintenance with regular oil changes through my local dealer, the works package which includes tire rotation. Everything on the truck is bone stock, including the tires. Gas mileage is holding steady at 26.5 on the rural roads of Palm Beach County, going back and forth to work--city driving. Not bad at all! Can't ask for more as far as reliable is goes, imho. Both my previous F-150's had some issues by this point. And I've heard of horror stories on here from others with their Rangers but I just can't see any of that happening with this truck here. Knock on wood or just good luck or maybe my driving style, all is holding steady. Hope the same with others!

Oh lord I guess I lost second place now too…. Damnit!
85k here and well my experience has not been going as good as everyone else it would seem. Most issues have been fixed but I’ll mark the ones not fixed:
ABS went down
Power steering went down
Fuel gauge went down (not fixed)
Rear axle eats sensors
Transmission shutters from 2-4 (not fixed)
Spark plugs rusted
Torn E brake cover
Parking sensors ghost beep(not fixed)
Moisture inside fog light (not fixed)

on the bright side, my valves have been good thanks to my catch can, my battery is still stock and going strong, and the tail gate goes down as smooth as Sean Connery 007.
Repeated flushes, sensor changes, tuning, etc for many of the fixes.

i've only got 30,000 miles on mine but so far so good, The only problem i've had from day one and Ford says they can't fix it is with the infotainment screen freeze if i try to use it in conjunciton with FordPass. Did you have a similar issue? 26mpg here also with the FordTune and 91 octane

No issues lately with any of the screen freezing. I believe I had a minor problem when I first got the truck, maybe trying to figure out how to use the thing I might've messed up some settings. I think I reset or upgraded to latest firmware which made things right. Might try something like that.

Nice to hear that you're getting about the same mileage! Some folks on here are getting worse than my full size F-150....can't imagine that!

The explicit purpose of car owner's forums is to provide a space for people with problems to seek help. As such, those problems are over represented on those forums versus the total population of the vehicle in question.

A great example of that is the Land Cruiser forum. The 200-series is the most legendarily overbuilt, reliable vehicle ever made. Yet visit the forum, and you'd quickly find yourself thinking it's a lemon. The reason there is you have a self-selecting group of owners who either have a (very) rare problem, or who have extensively modified their vehicles and use them very hard.

Like any complicated mechanical device, problems can and do occur, but the 10R80 is generally going to be a very robust, very high performing truck transmission. Albeit one sandbagged by economy-focussed software programming in stock form.
