Ya gotta do what ya gotta do! I got caught in hail twice before this in the Ranger in traffic, and it was not good for my nerves. Luckily no damage. When I heard the recent forecast and with plans to travel, fuck the mower!
I first asked the wife if she'd move her Fiat Spider out from under there so I could park under there. That convo didn't last long, but after she calmed down, she did agree to back it up as much as she could, so I get the cab under the deck.

LOL! How'd you pull that off? When my wife saw me parking under the shed, she said something about leaving her Edge out unprotected. I said it was better than leaving both vehicles out unprotected. I know when I win an argument when she has no reponse!

Why do I get the feeling that your "win" is going to end up like The Eagles Reunion: "We never broke up, we just took a 14 year vacation" (or something along those lines).

Not sure get the analogy, but I'll take every little win I can get.

Major storms forecasted so with an upcoming trip to Ohio, the last thing we needed was two vehicles with busted windshields. So out with the mower, in as best I can with the Ranger in our shed.

Hail storms... first new car ever was a 1986 Mercury Cougar. Ordered it. Fought like hell to get the 302 with fuel injection. (1st year it was offered.) Ford kept wanting to change it to a V6 due to intake manifold supply issues. I kept saying I'd wait. Young man of 25. First new car. Finally got it in December. The very first summer, July I think.... hail storm. Hail. Big hail. Damn car had dents on the hood, roof, trunk, and a few on the sides. I almost cried.

I still washed it weekly... or more, waxed it monthly, parked it a gazillion miles away from anything. But those dents hurt my heart until the day I sold it.

That looks pretty cool, but I think I'll take my chances and not deal with where I am going to store something like that. Hail storms can pop up any time so you have to know when to deploy it. Today's forecast was a rare time when hail was a definite maybe.
Hell, I need that thing for our oak tree! LOL, I'd have to use it 6 months out of the year. Looks like a giant larvae!

Froggin' acorns and thin sheet metal - bah! =D

I had to work in Lancaster, PA yesterday, about 1 1/2 hours away, and knew I'd be heading home about the time my weather radar app showed orange, and hail. I was lucky, and Pepper stayed ahead of the front all the way...so I didn't have to hide under a bridge! Actually didn't see any bad reports of hail, though on the news. Lucky!

When I moved to Colorado Springs I loved that the apartment had comings for the parking. Then I heard about the hail storms. . . Duh!
