Hi Folks,

There is an old saying at Ford...."There comes time in every program where you have to shoot the engineer and start production" There are decisions one must make in life as we get older...Family matters, health etc. So with much weighing of my point in life, It is time for me to say good bye to the 5G forums and fade into the woodwork. I simply cannot at this juncture spend the time it takes to read every forum post and for those posts, where I can contribute, respond. My life requires refocusing on other priorities.

So I am saying good bye to all forum members and wish all of you the best, happy motoring and good luck! It has been a good ride for me, but time that I move on.

I will lurk on these forums for a while as time permits, but my participation will be limited.

Best,
Phil Schilke

Adios Amigo and safe travels. I always enjoyed reading your posts and knowledge of the Ranger.

Don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out. :)

As all here have said, it's a sad day to see you go but completely understandable and nobody will fault you for your decision (though, as you've seen, you will get some ribbing). I'm going to miss all those back stories and seeing some of the history of Ford from someone who made it happen. Take care and God Bless, Phil!

Having read for a quite a while before buying my truck and making an account, it's too bad I won't be able to participate in discussions with you Phil. Appreciate all your contributions here, however! Honestly some of your posts probably played a part in me choosing Ford over other manufacturers and I couldn't be happier so far. Thanks and you will be missed.

Phil. It will not be the same around here without you. Your contributions go far beyond a simple internet forum. Your insight ,wisdom, and level headed advice have been invaluable, not to mention the back stories, insider information, and jokes. :) It has been a privilege to have interacted with you on this forum.

As everyone else has pointed out we all understand that faith, family and health are the most important things.

I know that your priorities are exactly where they should be. I personally want to wish you and all those around you the absolute best. Take care of your self and your loved ones and Godspeed.
