fumoto f107SX oil drain valve

I have used these valves on my two Subarus for years. Really easy oil changes, no issues.
Now if there was a way to relocate the Ranger's oil filter somewhere actually accessible

That would be fine on a street truck, but I do desert running a lot while RV'ing and would worry about something taking it out. Would suck to lose all of my oil 20 miles in the boonies. I use the normal long nipple valve with a short vinyl hose tucked up under the skid plate, easy to pull out when needed, and safe.

I had one on my Crosstrek and it make oil changes a 10 minute job. Good to know there is one that works for the Ranger as well. I have free oil changes for life but, I probably will be doing some of my own.

What's the part number you are referring to?

It's the F137N, I have a clear vinyl hose clamped on that rides on the skid plate.

FX4's skid plate protects that area...I attached a flexible hose for draining so I don't have to remove the plate when changing oil...

Then you should be more worried about tranny cover. It’s plastic and if you take out a valve like this you can bet that will go with it! Sid said it, got a skid plate for that reason.

OP has a 2019 STX, does that even have the skid plate? I was going by the photo, didn't look like it was protected that well.

All 4x4 Rangers have front skid-plates...

It's the FX4 option that received skid-plate upgrade and additional skid-plates around the transmission & gas-tank.

No you only need that if you get the older version this one is great because it's two piece so the actual spout can point away from the pan as you tighten the issue with the older one is that the spout would hit the pan so as long as you get the f107SX you'll be fine
