Did first oil change yesterday on my 2012 Lariat and installed another Stahlbus oil drain valve. This is the 3rd vehicle I have installed one on. No need to remove skid plate now that valve is installed and the oil simply drains into the jug I take to dump for recycling via the included hose. As long as the engine is warm to touch the oil really doesn’t take that long to drain. Purchased on Amazon just because we were ordering other stuff.

interesting. Thanks for sharing. I bought the ValvoMax version that looks very similar. I'll be putting it on next week.

I wasn't really sure if I'd be able to avoid removing the skid plate during future changes since this hose needs to be removed between changes. I haven't crawled under there yet.

Got the ValvoMax on mine and love it. Haven't done my second change yet, but had to use it to drain a little out because I overfilled and it worked great. Not 100% sure about needing to drop skid plate, because I already had it off to change differential. I think it looks like I can get to it though. I like how I can stop the flow in mid drain just by unscrewing the hose a little.

The stahlbos is a 1/4 turn fitting. Route the hose first and then connect
