Thanks, I read your posts about it. Was hoping someone made a discovery somewhere along the way. Although I'm actually trying to do the opposite of you and extend the delay. Having younger kids, it would be nice to have the lighting on for longer as they are nowhere near clear of the truck when the lighting goes out lol. I also tied bedlighting into that circuit which I really like but would rather not resort to leaving a door open or using the cargo lamp switch to keep them on for longer if possible.
Haven't added bed lights yet. When I do I will be powering the from my Wolf Haus bed power outlet power. I bought the split harness so the tie in will be easy. I also disabled the PowerPoint timeout so it it powered all the time. I use the outlet to power a small fridge in the bed while camping.

I have the WolfHaus bed outlet with split harness as well. I just preferred my bedlighting to be integrated with the cargo lamp. You just reminded me I still have to disable the PowerPoint timeout. I know it's just a matter of time before a need comes up where I wish I had done it.

Whoa I haven't heard of this. Are we talking about the 110 house plug (inverter) in the back of the console that can be made to be left on all the time!?

yes - the USB power ports, 110AC plug and Aux power tap in bed all are controlled by this timeout.
But it does have a limit as eventually the battery protection will detect low batt voltage and turn it off.

FWIW, I think the module you can buy for $70 is a much more elegant solution to not having to turn the switch off every time you start the truck or making a permanent change with ForScan.

It goes in series with the switch, that is, the module plugs into the switch and the harness plugs into the module. The module remembers the last switch position. So if you turn off auto start/stop the next time you start the vehicle it will be off. If you turn it on it will be on the next time you start the vehicle.

I put one on my wife's 21 Cherokee shortly after getting it and I ordered one for the Ranger as soon as I got home with it. They have been flawless.
This was the first thing I on my Ranger. Literally bought the cable within 10 minutes of getting home with the truck from the dealer. Works perfectly and is the best $70 mod I have spent on the truck. The only time I have to press the button is if the dealer or someone (usually me) accidentally hits it cycling the Auto A/S switch.

Retired, work is a four letter word.
Where did you turn off ASS? once you do turn it off, in bottom Right hand corner of forscan is a volt gauge. What does it read with engine running and ASS off?
on mine it dropped down to low 13 volt range with ASS off, and went back up to 14v range with ASS on (indicating to me battery module was also turning off).
I turned it off in the BCM, as I also changed my SOC to max 90% it may affect the charge rate. I get 14V first thing starting the truck, then after running or driving for awhile it drops to 12.8, if I turn on fog/headlights it will go back up. I have a digital voltmeter in my HAM radio that is connected directly to the battery.

Talking about the two 12v plug-ins in the dash and the bed 12v supply by the rear driver side tire. I believe the 110 ac plug-in is only active when motor is running.

Good point
I may have mispoke. The 110 is not part of the circuit

Anyone try enabling the "Battery Voltage Display" in the IPC? Does it work?
IPC_Battery.jpg

Those who changed their "Battery Target State of Charge" percentage in the BCM did you notice a mpg change?

Do i need the extended license to disable auto/start/top and change my wheel/tire size on the Ranger? I saw a video showing you need to register on forscan.org forums but i've yet to have my account registered to get the extended license.....its been over a week since i registered.

Anyone know where the time outs for the heated seats and the recerc are? How about changing the stupid 3 blink turn signals back to 1? And the 3 doo warning about not having the pos adaptive cruise control on (not the same as start up but the same sound)

I didn't realize the heated seats had a timeout, mine stay on even through a key cycle. Just used them for the first time this morning. The recirc issue has been a topic of several threads due to the fires out west. Seems to be controlled by the system with no adjustment. The lane Chang blink has also been discussed and no solution found. You are the first I know of that wants to reduce it. Many of us would like to increase it especially when towing a trailer. I don't have adaptive cruise so I can't help you there.

I think the $3.95 night lite was a much more reasonable mod -- plugged into the 110vac outlet on the back of the console, no more A.S.S.

For those who don't have kids, yeah probably. Mine would definitely mess with or unplug it every time they get in the truck. Then I'd have to go spelunking under the seats looking for where they tossed it each time I noticed the truck shutting off at a stop light.

Ask me know I know this... ?
