this is interesting as I thought the same.

So what is the purpose
It's been a while since I did my first time log in, but what you had to save was probably your vehicle profile. That you only need to do once for each vehicle you use Forscan on. The profile ties information about your vehicle, like what modules you have, together so Forscan shows the right info. Allows you to use the same computer with multiple Ford vehicles.

After the initial backup you only need to save the module you made changes to.

I kept a spreadsheet of all the settings I changed, the module it's in, etc. I only changed about 8 things, so not a big deal. I did not backup before I started, but don't do what I did if you don't feel comfortable doing it, or want to go in and play. I only made changes to proven settings from the fordscan thread.

So I went trough and tried to remember what I set and set it back and I think I was mostly successful except now I have the airbag light on… any ideas what I did?

I tried out the cornering fog lights and was not a fan. My wife drove it first after I made the settings change and thought she came home and said my lights were messing up. I drove it last night and can see why it would weird her out. I don't mind the light coming on when I turn, but don't like one side coming on with the turn signal I'll just turn the fogs on if I need the light :)

I turned it on, but haven't driven at night yet. Do the fogs come on only with turn signals, or do they come on when the wheel is turned, too?

Both. It's a little weird, trying to get used to it

Anybody know if/where/how I can make the "fogs" come on with the DRLs?

I believe that is one of the options you can do yes, you would just have to look line-by-line and find it (if its there). Mines at home now so I'm no help.

You can set the fogs to be your DRLs. You need to make two changes to do it. Both are in the BCM module. First you need to set the "DRL Options" setting to "All Options". Then you can set the "DRL Configuration" option to "Fog Lamps". This will take the low beams out of the DRLs. I run my fogs and my parking lights as my DRLs. I have switchbacks in my turn/parking lights, so it's all white up front. I like having taillights on as park of the DRLs, especially when towing.

Thankyou. Does this keep the DRL strips active in the Lariats?

Would like to run the strips, parking, and fogs in the daytime without switching out of autom

Are you guys sure if you disable A/S/S it turns off battery management? I’m pretty sure I disabled A/S/S but battery management stayed on since it was another option all together and I didn’t mess with it.

One thing I did notice, is that after disabling mine, I don’t get the light on the dash either. I heard some people still got the light on the dash when the system would normally stop the engine if A/S/S was enabled
Sane scenario as you on my 2021. Is yours a 2021? Could be a slight difference year over year? Happy with the result though. No having to hit the switch or see the light.

Yes 2021. Another strange thing is that I don't get the light on my dash either when A/S/S is supposed to normally activate. Which I don't mind, but on my friends 2019 which he disabled through Forscan, he still gets a light on his dash every time A/S/S/ would normally work if it was enabled.

When I disabled it on my 2021, I get a "ghosted" grayed out indication on the instrument cluster where the AS/S would normally be in green when it would have activated. My switch acts as though you can enable/disable but it most certainly is not activating no matter which position it's in.

Weird. I get no indication at all in my instrument cluster. Maybe because I have the poverty Ranger? the XL.
