This seems to confirm there is a firmware level difference between MYs.

Where did you hear it messes with the adaptive cruise? I've seen nothing to that effect.

I don't remember as it's been a while. It was earlier in this thread perhaps. I've got NAV, so I already have the speed limits showing up anyway. But it sounds interesting regardless.

Hey gents, I have used the forscan and did the all terrain mod ...and I updated splash screen to raptor....now I have a question. When I key up the car initially raptor comes up...but when I'm parked and getting out the Ford comes back on.....so raptor is there only during startup.....is this correct?

Also I have an Xlt with almost all the Bells and whistles.... While I was looking through the forescan the precollision assist if you look in the picture says it's disabled but yet I have it on my car I don't understand should it say disabled? I have seen it warn me already but I have never felt the brakes......see pic

So I guess what I'm saying is pre-collision different than forward collision?

I ended up buying a year too, but because I’d been trying to get it to work on my MacBook. I needed a new laptop for work anyways, so I ordered one. I don’t mind a year license. Good to support the guys doing the work.

Couple of questions regarding the Lariat instrument panel and ForScan changes.

1. Looking at the right display I can show the gear the transmission is in when in Drive and hitting the down shift rocker. Can't do it in Sport because of course hitting the rocker puts it in manual mode. Is there a ForScan mod that will make the gear selector always be present?

2. Looking at the left display I have the tach, fuel gauge and water temp gauge. There appears to be enough room for another vertical gauge. Is there a ForScan mod to add boost, volts or oil pressure?

Side note but I wish you could put whatever you wanted on the right screen. Most of the time I have the compass up Bc the other screens are useless in my opinion.

Would be nice to have gas mileage on the left and the tach on the right.

1) Nope - S mode doesn't show the gear (for whatever nutso reason) unless you're manually shifting and there's no known current way to add it back - I would be very surprised if it was possible.

2) There is not - we don't have an oil pressure sensor and boost nor volts are available in our PCMs to display anywhere.

Correct to a point. There are no sensors for oil pressure or temp, only switches for idiot lights. Boost and voltage are available for display through aftermarket apps using the ODB2 port. The boost is probably a calculated value using MAP sensor and Barametric pressure. There are several other parameters that can be displayed, just not on the dash displays.

I use Torque Pro to display Boost, coolant Temp, Transmission Temp, Voltage and F/A Ratio while towing.

I have used OBD2AA to display Torque Pro gauges on my Mustang Sync screen but was hoping to get something more in the dash. My Mustang had an analog boost gauge in the dash between the ac vents but it was out of the line of site and not angled toward the driver making it pretty much useless. I was able to use ForScan to add a boost gauge to the center display between the tach and speedo on the Mustang.

Since I will likely never use the six aux switches on the top of the dash I am going to investigate removing them and put a gauge pod in its place. Anyone know if the switch pod just pops out?

That was my one gripe about my EB mustang as well. That gauge was great, but it was not useful being not angled or in the driver's line of vision. I never used anything else to get that information though. I do kind of miss a pretty analog gauge though.

No, you're good. I wasn't clear enough in my reply - I did mean in the truck by default, but didn't say that.

I'm not OBD2AA is available, you just need to buy it direct now because of the XDA issues. I'm not worried about the AA changes - they're only going to impact non-HU AA devices, which we don't qualify as anyways. However, with the lack of support for OBD2AA, I am a little concerned about something underlying changing and breaking it, but the overall AA experience isn't supposed to change much, if at all.
