Get everyone with an electric vehicle to plug in to their homes and backfeed to the grid.
When cells go dry, turn genny on to recharge the lectric vehicles, and repeat.

Currently electric vehicles pay no Highway tax as it is collected at the pump. As more are in use that will have to change. I recently did a build of an electric truck on the ford site and they have a trip time calculator. Compared the trip I drive to California and it came up 18 hours, same as my current time. The very fine print says does not include charge time! Why put a calculator for an electric vehicle and leave out charge time? People don't pay attention.

Lots of heavy metal, the next Superfund will be needed to clean it up.

Well let's see in the US no new petrol refineries have been built in years, difficult to get permits to mine anything or mfg chemicals, few basic steel making operations are left as well as semi conductor plants , new nuclear plants largely in limbo.

I think it's good to see this type of investment happening in the US, albeit assisted greatly by recent federal legislation.

As far as superfund cleanup time will tell but it might be better use of money than some of the current superfund projects - some are questionable as to both design and real need.
