Ford pass Remote start.

Yes with the FOB like I have, you must hit the lock button once and then the start button twice right away for the truck to start remotely.

Wife is happy, since FordPass is sketchy.
We were on a roll with +20c just a few days ago, got 2 " of snow yesterday.
Wife - Truck was all over the road yesterday
Me - Yup, need to put weight in bed.
Wife - Oh yea, how come you did not do that yet?

Last night I upped my battery charge percentage from 75% to 85% via forscan, I saw some other threads on here about our trucks going into deep sleep when the temperature drops below freezing and wondered if thats the issue. The other thing I noticed is I had a few fault codes, I will post those later but one of them was an open circuit fault related to the cellular antenna. Ill check again once I get home from work to see if any of the codes came back since yesterday.

Still no start via fordpass, I also noticed that the vehicle locator part of the app was also not working.

Used Ford Pass to start the '22 at noon today.........little circle just kept spinning and spinning.........closed the app.......waited a few minutes and tried again.........same thing. Never got the notice at the top saying it started. Got down the elvator and across the parking lot and it was running! It did work.......Ford Pass wasn't saying it. Frustrating!

I will post again, it worked for me.

Log out of Ford Pass and Log back in, it fixed my communication issues with truck and remote starts.

Problems seamed to arise with the last App Update, around the Time Change, so make sure the Ford Pass app is updated as well

I had these (2) Issues

1. Truck is Started (but App does not see it, Failed Start or Just Spinning)
2. Failed Start - (Message and Truck is not running) and Location of truck not available

If you opt for remote start (302a XLT), you still have to put key in right?

No push button.

Confused cause the build/price Ford site shows push putton on the remote start package picture.

Remote start with the FOB is Lariat only, unless the owner added an aftermarket remote start.

I have an XLT and it has remote start on the FOB. I use it all the time and also use my FP App from the 26st floor when the truck is outside below me. Works great.

Might depend on the model year, but my 2019 XLT has factory remote start on the fob.

My 2020 XLT has factory remote start as well. I use it every day about 6-months out of the year. A low battery will keep the remote start from working. My battery died after two years of ownership. No real indication the battery was going either just sometimes the remote start would not work. Maybe go get the battery tested before it leaves you stranded?

Yes, Key in the hold. More fun in the dark than these tender fellas who need a big round button with a light in it. Plus, these push button starters up here in Canada are stolen everyday.

Another update, after upping my bms charge level from 75 to 85% I have had no further issues on using fordpass to remote start for three consecutive days at or below freezing. I did also notice my 12v outlets are staying on for at least an hour after shutting the truck off so I wonder if they were running the battery down enough to put me in deep sleep when the temp drops at night. I'm going to check the time out on them if I see another issue with using fordpass to remote start.

Well, I always assumed my truck did not have remote start on the FOB and just the app as that is what the salesman told me, but I looked up what is the 2x button, after reading this, and it is the remote start button which you have to push 2 times after locking the truck. Learn something new every day!

So did I. Many people here have informed me that the remote start by fob is not only on Lariats, but available as an option on other models. Maybe I was thinking 'push button start'.
