Ford Pass wont turn on, other options for remote start?

Update:

The dealership fixed the ford pass connectivity settings by installing a new battery. They told me that for the connectivity settings to work the battery must be greater than 80% charged.

Do I think that is 100% correct? No.... but it did fix it and now my ford pass app is working so idk.

Maybe the dealership should understand how much the BMS allows the battery to charge before they make such statements.

Was this the first new battery. If so, 5 years on an OEM is pretty good and is probably the real fix.

As IdahoRanger alludes to, the dealer excuse of "greater than 80%" is BS as IIRC, the BMS never allows charging above 80%.

Yes this was the first new battery since the original. Ford said it still had 25% left.

Since the majority of Ford’s utilize the 80% SOC vs the Ranger 70-75 is where they are getting that number.
So a low battery, load shedding and deep sleep drops the TCU, so if Ford Pass was reporting Deep Sleep (messages) the TCU power was being dumped (shedded)

If the majority of Ford use 80%, why did they say it has to be ABOVE 80% to work. Still BS IMO.
