I've got a 2020 XLT Supercrew and have 105,000 kms with 30,000 pulling a 6500 lb travel trailer. Only issue was the heater box which warrenty paid for. Other than that, plugs at 100 kms and will need back brake pads in the spring. I love this truck and yes there are a few are duds out there but...
I have over 30,000 kms pulling my 21FB TT. No issues other than the small gas tank. Get proper tires on both units, a WDH and brake controller. Set up properly, it is a great puller.
Mine started at 58,000 kms. 2020 XLT Sport. Dual heat. Had to get Ford Corp. involved as the full warp was not diagnosed until my bumper to bumper warranty was over due to mileage. Ford Corp and the dealer I bought the truck from paid the $2500 bill. Needless to say I was a happy Ford customer...
I'm in Canada but had the same issue after warrany was up. Full dash out repair to replace the heater box. Contacted Ford Corporate and they paid for the repair. I know every case is different but it is absolutly worth the call.
You forgot to mention that you are also now a professional gas pumper having to stop every 2 - 3 hours for gas pulling a TT. That is the only "not fun" part of owning this truck. My worst was Hamilton, ON to Myrtle Beach, SC and I had to stop 7 times to gas up. It's too bad they went with such a...
Yes, Key in the hold. More fun in the dark than these tender fellas who need a big round button with a light in it. Plus, these push button starters up here in Canada are stolen everyday.
To date my truck (2020 XLT Sport) has 90,000 kms on it and 30,000 are pulling my TT. It is a 21 ft trailer and fully loaded is just over 6000 lbs and 650 lbs on the tongue. I use a Husky round bar WDH with 800-1200 lb bars. I have a Tekonsha brake controller and it works great. With the trailer...
I have an XLT and it has remote start on the FOB. I use it all the time and also use my FP App from the 26st floor when the truck is outside below me. Works great.
I had my dash pulled last summer and its going back in for squeeks behind the speedo area. My tech that did the work only does dash work so lots of experience. Be prepared for the same . Plastic parts suck in a dash.
It will. The heater box gets warped at the doors catch. I had new actuators installed in both sides and they both failed again within 3 weeks. If the doors are sticking, the heater box must be changed. I know it sucks but it is the only long term fix.
Anthony, the clicking you are hearing is the actuator trying to move a blend door that is sticking. Get your truck into the dealer and get it fixed before your warranty is up. The dash out is not as bad as one would think as it comes out in one piece. That said you do want a good tech doing it...
Further update: A/C is still working great. Got a call from Ford Corp. yesterday and after telling them about the $500 I'm still out of pocket for an issue that should have been fixed before my warranty expired, they have stepped up with $500 worth of FordPass Reward points. Works for me as I...
My 2020 went in today and I'm happy to say its now snowing on the drivers side. No scratches or marks on the dash so it looks like I got the good tech. Nice and cold and no squeaks! I hope this is the end of this heater box issue. Ford Corp did come through and paid all but $100 of the $2500...
I will be doing a video of all the panels before it goes in just as a CYA. Good thing is the tech doing it the one who does all their dash work so he knows what he is doing. They say the dash comes out in one piece so I’m hoping it will go ok.
