Anyone know what module the HVAC reports to? i thought it was the Forward Control Interface Module (FCIM) but don't see that listed using the Forscan scanner tool.
i do see Accessory Protocol Interface Module (APIM) and that shows no error codes.
I was checking for any error codes to verify my HVAC has the blend door warped box like i suspect from the clicking noises and warm air only.
What i'm concerned with is the Dealer will find no codes when i bring it in next week and then say 'no codes nothing we can do'.
TIA Rob.

It is the FCIM. Here’s the text from the SSM:

SSM 49264: 2019-2020 Ranger - Climate Control Temperature Will Not
Adjust With Clicking/Snapping Noise From The Dash - Built On Or
Before 30-Jul-2020

Some 2019-2020 Ranger vehicles built on or before 30-Jul-2020 may experience poor and/or no temperature change when the temperature is adjusted in the climate control system. There may also be a clicking/snapping noise from behind the instrument panel.

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) B1082 and/or B1081 may also be retrieved from
the front controls interface module (FCIM). This may be due to an issue with the blend door and its controls. To avoid repeat repairs, it is recommended to replace the climate control housing assembly (service base part# 18478).

Refer to Workshop Manual, Section 412-00.
Vehicles:
2019-2020 Ranger P375N USA (FG)
Symptom Code:
111000 BODY PANELS/UNIBODY
B1081
B1082

Yes thanks for that, although i don't have those codes (DTC) B1082 and/or B1081 may also be retrieved from the front controls interface module (FCIM).
And while checking with Forscan I'm not even seeing the FCIM so that's weird,.
Maybe mine being a base XL with the single zone hvac i don't have that module.

Do you see a FDIM - Front Display Interface Module?
I believe for the non-touch screen it is labeled as FDIM.

You need to try , loading a new profile, you are missing over half of the modules that are not loaded

I have 22 modules on my 22 xl that forscan can see. I don't even see your ABS module. Like Airline tech said, clear out your profile and try again. Hopefully you'll get some answers.

Ok so i reset and got all the modules to show, i have code B 1082 Right Temp Damper Motor &
B1082 Circuit open, so there should be no issue with the dealership not seeing them.

Mini update;
They have the truck since Monday confirmed the warped heater box, ordered parts just waiting on a couple of parts to come in.
He estimate I’ll be back on the road sometime next week.
Also said they have done one other Ranger before as well as other models (think he said a Fusion).
So that gives me a bit of confidence that hopefully It will get done right.
