Yep this works great!

Until you have a hose pop out of the jug and spray hot fluid all over you, the truck, inside the truck because the windows are down, and all over your TL Type-S sitting next to the truck.

Not that I would know anything about that.

Ohh, and those pumps will pump a LOT of thin fluid when you're using an 18V tool battery as well.
I feel you pain... (I do wish I could have witnessed it!)

BTW, t I thought about that BEFORE I started the pump and inserted a nice heavy brass fitting on the hose going into the jug. I still worry a little about the jug tipping over before enough fluid adds weight.

The pump actually sits on my engine cover. I use a 35-40 year old "old school 15amp battery charger" to power the pump, which draws about 6 amps on the analog meter. The pump runs slow enough that I can easily time the shut off at 4 quarts. I use 2 rather heavy windshield washer fluid bottles for the job. Tried milk jugs but they were just a tad too flimsy for my taste.

So the guys using the fitzstick to do trans fluid changes, are you just running a smaller diameter tube down the fitzstick tube and pumping out?

Most thin wall Nylon or Tigon tubing in 3/8" goes right down, cut the end at an angle?

Try warming up the engine and going through the gears, but be gentle. If it still feels stuck, you might need to inspect the tube for any bends or blockages.

The dipstick tube should be fine, it's too rigid to bend and kink, the pump hose can catch the inside edge of the lower fitting, so the angle cut on the end of the pump hose solves that.

I cut the pump hose end at an angle and that allowed it to pass the fittings...the trouble was pulling it back out...the tubing side is catching on something sharp and scraping the tubing when extracted...next time I go in, I plan on disassembling the fitting and round off the offending edge...for those of you about to install this kit, you might want to do this first...I suspect it's the lower fitting's opening...

This catching issue may be unique to the hard plastic tubing I bought at hardware store...a different tubing might also solve this issue...

You have one of the original fittings, the current ones are different, they shouldn't do that.

Not to change the subject but did you hear Ford is going to be deleting the oil dipstick’s in the near future. Yup! I was just as surprised as you are now

I guess the list of deleted items will just keep getting bigger and bigger. I was half kidding last year when I said next time you order a new truck this is what will show up at the dealership.

You can pump it out, but many of us also installed aftermarket pans with drain plugs.
This.

Set to do an oil/trans/diff change on Monday, and replace my DPFE. Shouldn't take more and an hour all in.
