I feel you pain...Yep this works great!
Until you have a hose pop out of the jug and spray hot fluid all over you, the truck, inside the truck because the windows are down, and all over your TL Type-S sitting next to the truck.
Not that I would know anything about that.
Ohh, and those pumps will pump a LOT of thin fluid when you're using an 18V tool battery as well.
(I do wish I could have witnessed it!)BTW, t I thought about that BEFORE I started the pump and inserted a nice heavy brass fitting on the hose going into the jug. I still worry a little about the jug tipping over before enough fluid adds weight.
The pump actually sits on my engine cover. I use a 35-40 year old "old school 15amp battery charger" to power the pump, which draws about 6 amps on the analog meter. The pump runs slow enough that I can easily time the shut off at 4 quarts. I use 2 rather heavy windshield washer fluid bottles for the job. Tried milk jugs but they were just a tad too flimsy for my taste.
