I just noticed driver side of my hood has a slight overlap that wasn't there earlier or at least I didn't see it. Could be from opening and slamming the door shut. So along with the tailgate with a bigger gap on the passenger side, the hood is a problem.
I'll have the dealer serviceddepartment look at my next service.
It is fixable.

My issue isn't quite as bad but it's there and I guess they'll send it to a body shop to do the repair if they can't . Yours came out great which is nice to know.

A good reason to buy from dealer stock. most dealers won't put it on the lot like that. Of course I realize it's not always possible.

I waxed my Ranger today and it was the first time I really “went over” the paint job closely. Everything looked pretty good except a few spots on the roof where it looks like something was stuck to the sheet metal and they painted over it. Very small defects, but I noticed it when I was buffing it out. It’s a lease and it’s on the roof where you can’t see it, but for a 2019 $40k vehicle I think a person should expect a flawless paint job. If you had body work done at the body shop and they painted over a few tiny flakes of something a customer would and should complain.

Hi Folks,

After seeing results of these tweaks to the front fenders, I decided to see if I could improve the fit of the hood. Much to my amazement the tweak of about 1/8" on the left and a 1/16" produced a flush to fender for the edge of the hood... My concern about fitment around the headlight was a non issue. Happy camper... photograph might not show the improvement but I am pleased with the fine tuning for hood fitment.

Michigan Truck Plant needs to raise the chinning bar a bit...They need to adjust their fixtures under the No Adjust Build process..can't believe their audit process has not led to refinement of the hood fit.

Best,

I just did this today too Phil, mine wasn't too bad, but better now. Looks like bare metal under the fender bolts so I threw some primer on it before rust sets in, paint later

Dont wait. Primer attracts moisture. But since they are aluminum.....not really needed.

I noticed that mySuperCab ebony cloth rear seat does not have the light gray stitch accent like the front seat.
Is this true on the SuperCrew? how about on the XLT either cab?

My buddy who can fix anything could not live with my hood being off. He popped the hood and repositioned the fenders. They had to be pulled out 1/4 on the driver’s side and an 1/8 of an inch on the passenger’s side. The first picture is before and the second is after the fix. The third picture shows the fender bolt after the1/8 inch adjustment.
Mine was the same, 10 min and a 10mm ratchet fixed it

The SuperCrew has the stitching on the rear seats.
