Agree with Farley but percentages don't mean much. Adding percentages to anything is irrelevant unless you know the real numbers because percentages can make anything look good.

Which would you rather see?

54% increase of 19,000 units
or
54% increase of 250,000 units

Any increase is good but the bottom line numbers aren't stellar.
Exactly. Jaguar was selling single digits of their smaller SUV for the last 2 years of it for all of North America. 50% increase was a month they sold 12 over previous months 9 🤪.

After their infamous new ad campaign, I'm surprised that they sold ANY vehicles.

Jaguar Tried to Reinvent Luxury — But Alienated the People Who Loved It Most. How a bold rebrand and electric pivot led to a 97.5% sales collapse in Europe — and what it reveals about the risks of alienating legacy customers

Who would've thought that non-binary whatevers prancing around was not an image the typical Jaguar buyer desired?

That's not too surprising when you see these stats. The educational system is failing us here and sadly it's shows every day when dealing with people. :explode:

I'm proud that where I taught here in north Idaho our kids received a great education. All they have to do is their part by putting in the effort. Some places have issues to say the least. I hear what you're saying.

That's awesome and I wish more schools and parents were like this! I probably should've worded it better and said it's failing us in many places instead of making it sound like all of it was. I had a lot of customers who were teachers and have heard their stories and how they can only do so much in their school. Sadly a lot of this falls on parenting because many don't spend enough time with their kids like when we grew up. Now the parents are usually both working and don't have time or to consumed with social media and/or just not well educated themselves.

Pretty accurate. And I may be a bit naive how bad it is across the country although I feel we're the exception here. I see so many headlines and reports of how bad things are across the country and it seems like a bad movie sometimes. Even as a 35 year veteran teacher homeschooling sounds like a better option at least in many states. Used to be teaching was pretty universally respected. Even those of us trying to keep it old school and accountable are looked down on by more parents these days. Too much enabling. Don't get me wrong most of our kids are pretty great. It's that minority of repeat offenders that have always been the problem. Mileage will vary depending on where in the country you are.

Never say never! They did it before and can do it again especially if they see sales lagging and the Maverick sales rising. Let's face we're all going to be bias on here but at the end of the day the bean counters are going to determine what makes more sense in what direction they move forward with a 7G Ranger. It's not like Ranger sales are huge and IIRC it was just over 325K for the 5G. It's not like they make smart decisions either by wiping out all the auto line years ago, loosing billions on their EV line (who would've seen that coming  ) and loosing billions more on warranty work. Never underestimate the power of stupidity!
I could not agree more. Ford has made some pretty bad decisions.

Tacoma sold almost 5 times as many Tacomas than the Ranger in 2025. The Ranger came in 4th for mid size sales YTD.

This was only through 3 quarters where Toyota sold 249,563 through November of '25 and the Ranger was 48,278.

Wow, this paints a very gloomy picture. Even the GM twins are slightly more than 2x the Ranger in sales. Exiting a market where there are 444k sales at the end of Q3 seems to be a dumb idea. Time to fix the problem.

Yeah, I'm pretty "live and let live" but that last Jaguar campaign was not only bogus for selling a car, it was just friggin' weird!

And if I, the chin chain guy and master dump runner, thinks it's weird ...

I got enough trans issues with the Ranger ....

Doggone, upon viewing that I ALMOST just rushed out and bought a Jaguar due to seeing that emotionally electrifying and psych altering pic of modernity personified in a British automobile...

NOT.

That pic looks like a rejected episode plot for Star Trek Discovery.

Gotta buy two at a time, one to leave in the garage at home and one to leave at the shop to be worked on and just swap them out every other week.

Joseph Lucas, aka the Prince Of Darkness.
Loose Unsoldered Connections and Splices

from Wiki:

Lucas proceeded to supply electrical equipment that was commonly cited as the best reason not to buy a British car. The poor reliability of Lucas auto-electrics earned it the nickname "Prince of Darkness". Incidentally, the heavy metal musician Ozzy Osbourne, adopted the nickname as part of his stage image and was also from Birmingham, was a former Lucas Industries employee as was his mother! =D
