I kept my 2007 F150. I love the ranger but it was purchased more for a commuter vehicle. I still need the bed space of my F150 for the larger payloads.

I had an 2015 F-150 for several years. I loved that truck except for the LARGE size. After the warranty expired, I traded to a GMC Canyon, but couldn't stand several bad design flaws on it .... So, now, I have a 2020 XLT Ranger 4x4.. This truck is awesome. Really, just like a shrunk-down F-150. No regrets at all.

It surprises me that more people don't drive Rangers.

The Ranger and F150 might be different vehicles, but for practical purposes, the Ranger is an F150 on a smaller platform for what most people do. In fact, some Ranger configurations haul more payload/cargo than some F150 configurations. I love the Ranger's size. Big enough to do what I need, small enough that it fits reasonably well in smaller spaces.

I had a 2017 F-150 XLT Screw Gen 2 3.5 eco 10 speed 2wd. It was totaled towing our 5th wheel camper. It was a fantastic truck. I replaced it with a 2019 Ranger XLT Screw 2wd. Some notes, the F-150 was quicker and got better fuel economy for my type of driving(20-21 mpg town, 25 mpg hwy, Ranger 21-22 hwy best). It had a lot more room in the rear seat than the Ranger. Since I no longer tow a camper the Ranger is easier to drive around town, gets acceptable fuel economy, is reasonably quick, is equally as comfortable in the front seat and actually fits in my garage. I am pretty happy with the switch and will probably get the FRP tune for the Ranger.
If this thread already exists my apologies. Curious to know how many former (or current) F-150 owners have made the switch to the Ranger? I traded my 2015 F-150 XLT SuperCab about 4 weeks ago and I haven’t looked back. I have less than 500 miles on the Ranger and had just over 100k on the F-150 so it’s not a true comparison, but I don’t see myself having any regrets. I absolutely love everything about this truck! What about you?

I would expect that you'l be getting more Tacoma and Colorado converts than from the F-150. I came from a 2017 Tacoma after owning 2 Rangers, a 1999 and a 2004.

2005 Ford F150 SCAB XLT I bought new. 212000 miles and my wife told me it was time to go find something new.

From what I seen on this truck...I think I should be able to get about the same I think.

When I bought my '05 F150, it was really too big, but the available Ranger was too small for needs. Small would not work so I was obliged to go big with the F150. I liked it, especially the commodious cab, but hated that 15 mpg (10 when towing). consequently, when we went to town we used my wife's 24 mpg 2.0 EcoBoost Escape, instead - unless I had to haul large stuff.

When I saw the G5 Ranger overseas in the years since then, I promised my wife I would get one if they ever came to the States. So, I ordered mine as soon as the pricing came out for here.

I am a retired US Army Senior Maintenance Supervisor and take real good care of my equipment, so I easily sold my F150 to a friend who was the first one to ask me.

I “downgraded” from a 2016 F-150 Lariat Fx4 SCrew, and honestly besides the space in the rear and the 60/40 folding option of the seats, I really don’t miss it. In my opinion, the Ranger drives/rides better, and I’m thoroughly enjoying the better gas mileage... or maybe having the 3.5L EB made my foot heavier ???‍♂

I have to say that the 60/40 rear seat and the flat expansive floor in the rear with the seat up are the two items I miss the most that my 2019 Screw had. I am hoping this is my last vehicle, I bought it for my retirement rig even though I have three more years to go. Might be tempted to trade it in if Ford adds the 60/40 and makes the floor a flat area or at least more useable.

I traded my 2017 F-150 SuperCrew for my Ranger and really don't have much for regrets save for the backseat space, the flat floor in the rear of the cab and the mileage was better in my F-150 than my Ranger, but I didn't buy either because I was trying to save money on gas. The practicality of the Ranger has far exceeded any of my potential misgivings and I've found it to be for more realistic than my 2017 F-150 or even the 2012 F-150 SuperCab I had before it.

I am very happy with the ranger, I just do not need a larger truck very often but I do miss that V8.... just the sound of it and the way it drove but the ranger is great. I put the hitch on yesterday so if the smaller bed becomes a problem (once in a while I need big stuff) I can hit U haul for a trailer for the day and still get the larger capacity. This smaller truck really fits me better, hoping for many miles out of it.

Came from Tacoma. Never looked back

Same here. I've had 7 F150's,1 Silverado and 1 Tacoma over the years and now my Ranger. While the F150's were needed when I was back east and had a larger business I had no need for something this big anymore. When I moved out to AZ in 2016 the Ranger wasn't available so I went with what I thought was going to be the truck I kept for many, many years a Tacoma. Boy was I wrong,I hated that truck from the time I got it! I didn't get to test drive it because I ordered it in late 2015 before moving when they were changing over to the Gen 3. I've never hated a vehicle more than that TuRD! So glad Ford bought the Ranger back to N'America! :inlove:

funny, I also had a tacoma I hated a '13 TRD sport and I just hated it. I traded a 2000 Silverado that I loved for a Toyota with the plan to keep it for a very long time- id had the Silverado 13 years but I hated that tacoma, I just couldn't get comfortable and rattles that could not be found, lots of other minor issues but bottom line, I just hated it. there were no other small trucks out there so I got the F150 which I loved but just more truck than I needed-- Glad the ranger came back, I gave the GM twins a try but the ranger just fit my needs better.

I drive a (company owned) '17 F-150 XL 4x2 5.0 for work... gives me the v8 sound that I've missed since selling my Crown Vic PI about 5 years ago.
