If this thread already exists my apologies. Curious to know how many former (or current) F-150 owners have made the switch to the Ranger? I traded my 2015 F-150 XLT SuperCab about 4 weeks ago and I haven’t looked back. I have less than 500 miles on the Ranger and had just over 100k on the F-150 so it’s not a true comparison, but I don’t see myself having any regrets. I absolutely love everything about this truck! What about you?

I came over from a 2016 F-250 XL Crew Cab Diesel FX4 with an 8' bed. I miss its imposing road presence but other than that I haven't found my Ranger lacking in anything. It tows my tractor and does everything else I need it to do.

Traded in my 2005 F-150 XLT (138,000 miles) for my 2020 Ranger XLT -- 3 months and I'm a happy camper!! It does everything I need and as an added bonus, I can park it in the garage!!

Went from '04 F-150 Super Cab to the Ranger Crew cab. About the only thing I miss is the room up front. I felt like there was a lot of room between me and the large console. I'm 6'2", though so might be a tall-guy problem.

I would expect that you'l be getting more Tacoma and Colorado converts than from the F-150. I came from a 2017 Tacoma after owning 2 Rangers, a 1999 and a 2004.

I had a 2015 F150 3.5EB on 35s but the Ranger is better for me because its so much more suited towards offroading. I tended to get the F150 in situations it had no business being in lol

I came from a 2009 F-150 Super Crew 4x4. It was a great truck, my cowboy Cadillac. No regrets though. I find the Ranger fits my needs better than the F-150. I really didn't need that much truck.

I really like the looks of the Taco and when I was thinking of getting a new smaller rig it was the first one I test drove. Didn't do anything for me in the driving experience category. The Ranger however made me giddy!

I had a 2017 F-150 XLT Screw Gen 2 3.5 eco 10 speed 2wd. It was totaled towing our 5th wheel camper. It was a fantastic truck. I replaced it with a 2019 Ranger XLT Screw 2wd. Some notes, the F-150 was quicker and got better fuel economy for my type of driving(20-21 mpg town, 25 mpg hwy, Ranger 21-22 hwy best). It had a lot more room in the rear seat than the Ranger. Since I no longer tow a camper the Ranger is easier to drive around town, gets acceptable fuel economy, is reasonably quick, is equally as comfortable in the front seat and actually fits in my garage. I am pretty happy with the switch and will probably get the FRP tune for the Ranger.

I had an F150 for 6 years and loved that truck but it was just to big, It did not fit in the garage at home or work and I really did not need a large truck very often. Ive had the ranger about 2 months and so far, it suits my needs - good interior space (not as smooth riding as the F150) good space in the bed and if I need to carry something that won't fit I can pull a trailer. There are some gripes and it feels like it was rushed out like "lets see if people buy it and fix it later" -- minor little issues with the ranger but they are minor -- I am liking my ranger more every day IF you don't need a large truck, I think the Ranger is a great choice.
