For a truck these Rangers have good bit of sound deadening an all reviews I saw said it was quietest truck when driving/ idle ..plus it's a very high tech motor generally.. it runs really good (everyone that tests /reviews it says same) . Be rest assured with good basic maintenance an quality...
Its a high revving, hard working 2.3L 4-cylinder (dont worry tho internals are mostly forged & if you are running an SN+ FULL SYNTHETIC 5w30 w/ only motorcraft filters every 5k mis MAX you wont hurt that motor w/ its racing lineage I do highly recommend Premium fuel as well) although its ultra...
Worst thing on any drivetrain is dead stop wide open runs. That's why u see so many street races start while moving. I don't think you broke anything. This Is a very stout truck. Ford planned to make a strong new model entrance an they succeeded. Still take to dealer let em look at it. Ur under...
Its slight an if you read this thread thoroughly u will learn there's a quick reflash at ur friendly buying dealership help less this benign low rpm only characteristic of our excellent class leading 2.3L powertrain. Hope urconsistantly utilizing ONLY an SN+ rated motor oil for the high tech...
Thing is ..the Motorcraft Syn Blend Is excellent as far as the "syn blend" oils go. SN+ rated now too! I tell alot of folks if your great about your vehicle maintenance schedules use it! Just dont ever go over 5k mis (esp in turbo DI apps) ! It's well known on bobistheoilguy.com its a terrific...

Its only audible at low rpms dude.. an got more faint as mine got mis on It. All engine designs have there own unique characteristics. Hope ur running only an SN+ rated motor oil!? Motorcraft semi-syn is plenty adequate but a FULL SYNTHETIC should be mandatory on all these high tech EcoBoost...
Normal characteristic of that engine. Doesnt sound bad but I noticed . Seems get more faint as motor breaks in .. or I notice less. Lol. Just keep breaking it in easy an switch to a good SN+ rated FULL SYNTHETIC 5w30 asap ! I did at 850mis. Still use only Motorcraft filters they are very good...
My 19 Ranger XLT FX4 w/ 10 SPD auto is buttery smooth with positive yet smooth shifts always. I've only been very impressed at the refinement an tech of this trucks tranny. Call your dealer to make an apt for a reflash.. that should solve your issue.
Yes, indeed Toyota has had lots of truck issues! My '19 Ranger XLT FX4 EcoBoost is at 10k mis an just running better an better as mis accrue. Solid well built machine. Love the truck! Zero issues.
