Sadly, we might be looking at this as a bargain in a few months! Looks like if I really want one, I'll have to pour some water in the spark plug wells and take it in for service.
It should be covered by the warranty. After enough harassment, they paid for the cover and install.

the damaged part was replaced a couple weeks ago. While replacing the cylinder head, some coolant lines got damaged. I just refused to pick up the pickup because of the warranty issue. I didn't want to pay the 40%.
Im kinda baffled as to how water is getting in there , and why wouldn't it evaporate if it did ? Off road splashing through mud puddles maybe , but everyday driving ? Must be happening if they went as far as a TSB , which still doesn't address the source of the liquid intruder ! , which should be of concern ... and now im concerned , SO OFF I FREAKING GO TO CHECK MINE !!! (i still think that pic was of a floor drain , ive woke up beside a few , so i should know)

You people are absolutely freaking AWESOME!!! At least a few of you did call Armando! I can't tell you how much I appreciate it!!! Not sure what happened, but I got a call from Armando, today. My pickup is ready and washed and the warranty is being honored 100%. I'm at work, so they are dropping it off at my house! Armando got a kick out of the calls because it appears everyone was polite? (i hope). I'll post pictures when I get home today. Again, thank you!!! Even you trolls:)
I originally came to this forum to get ideas for rim, wheels, storage and racks. I found my center console vault and phone holder, as well. I didn't expect to find actual backup?!?! I will be a much more attentive member of this forum, from now on. (I'm gonna say it, again; thank you!!!)
I am truly in debt to you folks. They even paid for the cover and deductible. I can’t help but think it was your phone calls that got them straightened out. They had told me yesterday that it wouldn’t be till Wednesday. Now it’s in my driveway, running beautifully and looking good! If this happens to anybody else, please get me that number; I promise to call

That is complete hogwash. They lied to you. The picture they gave you has nothing to do with a 2.3L Ecoboost head, the things they told you about the TSB not being done voiding the warranty is hogwash because if you filled the spark plug well with water every single time it had fully evaporated off, it will not damage the head. The TSB is to add a cover if water has caused corrosion of the ignition components in that well, it says absolutely nothing about head damage.

It was all hogwash. The dealer is a crook. You almost paid over $3K for nothing.

You need to file the complaint with the BAR. Do it for your fellow Ford owners in the area.
Here’s what the write up says. After I looked at it I noticed they ref a TSB 22-2025 not TSB 21-2147 like I was originally told?

I'm heading over with a bottle and we can try it out! Maybe an "extra" bottle just in case we screw it up too badly. =)

Happy Friday and quittin' time for me!

Hello Rangers
I found the engine cover%,studs, and nuts at oem ford parts fast; https://www.oemfordpartsfast.com/
Tasca, Levittown, and one other were out of stock and unavailable.
I thought the company, Sam Galloway Ford, was in Texas but the parts shipped in two day from Ft. Meyers FL.
So maybe this will help out if they have more in stock. The shipping was a little steep but it's not Amazon and shipping prices still exist.
Good luck.
