Okay I have an idea to plug in a robot (small /cheep) to the cig outlet above the swt. The electronic robot is energized when key is turned on and pushes the button for you.

I had this simple usb charger that lights up when plugged in.
Fixed the auto-start function.

Any USB 110v charger will work if you don’t care for the lights.

Where did you get this ? I'm going to Best Buy to see what they have....I think the little LED is the key.

No idea where I picked that one up at. I thought the lights were the key too but a regular usb charger will work.
Or a night light.

I just went to Wally World, picked this up for $5 and got all excited....it glows and changes colors constantly.........but did NOT disable the start-stop

I just plugged a small night light in and it did the trick. can put different colored bulbs in , can turn the bulb cover over bulbs and never know its back there.

Is it LED or incandescent ?

Edit: It must be incandescent if you can put bulbs in it.....

The spiderman one I got at Home Depot is LED.

You can turn the lens upward and get spidy on the headliner... lol.. or turn it downward or even inward...

Does the 110v stay powered all the time?

No, just when the truck is in acc or ON.

Also noticed that the right 12 volt receptacle in the front is on all the time. I have a USB charger in 12 volt and the LED stays on blue. When the truck is off.

Are you sure? I thought it went off after about 20 mins after the truck was shut off? Mine stays on for a while after I shut the truck off - somewhere I thought I read it was 20 minutes.

I looked in the owners it is not clear if these are powered all the time. When hooking up my dash camera I used the right socket and it the camera powered up. I was curious if it shuts down after a period of time. I just confirmed that after sitting for 2 hours I no longer have power in either 12 volt outlet. I am not sure if it was 20 minutes but they do shut off after a period of time when the truck is off.

So, from my experience, the LED USB charger and LED nightlight did not work. I got mine to work with an incandescent night light, BUT I will need to grind down the larger of the 2 plug blades so it can be fully plugged in and not resting on the plastic above the outlet. The LED options looked good, but never worked, once I drove the truck.

I actually found a USB wall unit with a small led and that worked so even better, helps to poke around in the drawer o stuff lol
