Does your rear seat outer headrests fold down?

Hello all. Wasn’t sure where to post this. Was wondering if anyone has their rear outer headrests fold down for better visibility out of the rear window. My 2020 Ranger XLT does not. My 2015 Tacoma has the rear headrests fold down and was easy to look out the rear window. This is what I found in the owners manual but cannot find the part in the ford parts site. Any help would be appreciated . Thank you

There is another tread on this. It appears the feature was deleted for 2020.

I think if is reasonably priced, I will purchase the outer ones for the 2019 which I assume has the drop down button on them. I also assume that they will fit my 2020.

Yep...Ford saved a bit of money...the person in charge met his objective for his bonus for material cost reduction. Ford management called such things "low hanging fruit".... I hate beanies that track this crap. The beanies do not care about the customer....just the bottom line. Sad they deleted this feature.

A bit of a back story,

In my position at Ford Truck at the time I was tasked with taking cost out of the Ranger and one of the target items was called gap hiders. What these pieces of a felt like material that hid the reflection of the taillights into the cab through the gap in the tailgate when the lights were on or the brakes were applied. In the mirrow or when backing out with your head turned to see behind you. I hated this in trials and stood firmly against this. I was threatened with not meeting my bonus until I relented. F the beanies. I stood firm...not on my watch. I did get hit in the wallet? Nope.

Thus, on my watch the customer did not get this which with to deal. (awkward sentence, but never use a preposition to end a sentence WITH) Now between 2004 and Rangers demise in 2011...I have no idea if the gap hiders were deleted... These spinless Executives that bow to the beanies are best to be broomed. Best is to satisfy the customer and sell a ton of vehicles and let the bottom line take care of itself.

Never let a Beanie take the position of CEO...Ford always need a Product Person.

I would probably do that, but use the back seats for for boys all the time. I could take the headrests in and out all the time, but too much of a hassle. Good point though.

I can't believe they got rid of those, even my wifes new 2020 Escape SE has folding rear headrests.

Like others have said standard on the 2019 Ranger and gone from the 2020 Ranger. The way Ford has discontented the 2020 Ranger I'm glad I bought a 2019. Oh and look in your consul no change holder tray had them in the 2019's gone in the 2020 Ranger.
