Ugh... I read all the comments on that thread.... I don't live in a super cold area and they never put road salt down, if we ever actually have any snow. They will put a sand mixture down though, but I've never had any issues in the past with it before. I do live in a super hot climate, especially around May to September! I'm going to wait until the winter's over, since our property taxes are almost due and those are more important than a quieter exhaust, LOL!

I went with the Gibson and the sound is close to what’s on their web site
Cool, but I couldn't find a clip of the Rangers exhaust on their website?

Check out YouTube. I remember I listened to one video when I was looking to change out my exhaust. It had several different systems with sound clips and even showed an image of the one you were listening to.

I vote for gibson I'm extremely happy with mine. There is a video sound clip on here another member posted. You should find that pretty easy.

Had mbrp on the wife's mustang Ecoboost and it had an unbearable drone on the highway.

I've had both Gibson and Mbrp on my truck. The Gibson was way to quite. I replaces it with Mbrp turndown exhaust and couldn't be happier. The mbrp sounds way more aggressive without being over bearing.

Just another incredibly super average dude
I'm running the 3" dual outlet Cat back stainless system and love it. It gives the truck a bit of a deeper tone and sounds good from the cab under acceleration. It's not the exhaust that overly tries to make a 4 cyl sound like V8. It does however create a sound that is more appropriate and fitting than the lame factory set up.

At the end of the day, Ranger is still a turbo 4 banger. I cannot compare to Gibson but I am a big fan of my MBRP turn down axle dump exhaust. Gives me the sound I want, and sounds great wheeling in low range. No drone so highway travel is a non issue.
