A friend of mine is what we call a walking accident-waiting-to-happen (actually he's lucky to be walking tbh.)
He works as a logging contractor and one of his more recent fails was where he was removing a risky tree near a fenceline as a weekend job for a friend. Instead of cutting it down bit by bit like they usually do he cut a few corners and extended the tines on a telehandler so he could push the tree the right direction as he felled it. He did his wedge and most of the backcut, as he hopped in the telehandler to give it push the tree fell sideways, flipping the telehandler on it's side as it went. My buddy was thrown out of the telehandler, followed by a 2kg fire extinguisher which landed on his head and knocked him out cold.
Thankfully his sons have taken over the business from him now and he is relegated to the office where the worst he can do is fall off his wheely chair!

Ha, I had an uncle like that he was an accident magnet. He was a farmer and had the typical attitude many older farmers had to WH&S (that's just a fancy term for making a job more difficult) combine that with the usual Australian attitude of "she'll be right mate" is just an accident looking for an opportunity to happen. But he must have also had a really good guardian angel as he always seem to survive (almost) unscathed.

He is passed on now - not by an accident, but peacefully at home at 93!

However in the time I knew him - and these are just the incidents I happen to know about, I'm sure there were many more.

Used to do quite a bit of timber getting and saw milling, (man was a mechanical genius no formal engineering training, but built an automated sawmill, a log loader that could go forwards, backwards, and sideways, and many other things)

Got sucked into a saw mill, not his, ironically, (he built safeties into his mill) and almost had his arm cut off, (was successfully re-attached in hospital back when that micro surgery was in infancy).
Rolled a logging truck down a mountain side x2, and survived with only a minor burn, and a broken ankle.
Got attacked by his cattle on several occasions with various minor injuries.
Was cutting the top out of an old 44 gallon oil drum (with a gas axe!) when it it exploded, throwing him back about 12 feet and depriving him of all his clothes and hair, sight, and hearing, for 2 days. Luckily he was wearing thick overalls with a woolen sweater under, as it was winter, and he survived with just minor burns.
Rolled a tractor several times without any serious injury.
Accidentally cut off a toe when using a sharpened bar to grub out a tree root.
Hit a kangaroo once which skidded up the hood of his Mercedes and took out the windscreen and went into the car - more cuts from a struggling kangaroo. (at one time many Australian farmers drove Mercedes because they were one of the few cars you could buy here back in the 60's with a diesel engine)
In his later years when more or less retired, he joined the local volunteer rural fire service and was putting out a fire one day at a big roadside cutting when a rock suddenly broke loose from near the top and he and his team watched it roll down, bouncing as it picked up speed, everyone moved off to one side, but on the last bounce before it hit the ground it unexpectedly ricocheted off to one side and hit him right on the head! Luckily for once he was wearing regulation safety gear, and his helmet saved him from serious injury but he woke up a day later in hospital with a bad concussion.

Still I remember him fondly, he was the funniest, most generous man, who would talk of these incidents as though they were just part of normal country life!
