One memorable event was in the local news quite a while ago.
A maintenance guy for a large company in my area was assigned to take a work van to a filling station where the company had an account. The guy was in the habit of taking along a can for his personal use that he would fill with gas on the company's dime.
It was spring, and the day was unusually warm. When the guy got back from the station he got called to a job right away so he couldn't move his gas can to his personal vehicle. Moreover, some gas from the can had spilled in the van, and he didn't have time to wipe it up.
The van sat in a sunny parking lot for a couple hours before the guy could come back and retrieve his gas can. When he returned, he opened one of the doors and a spark from the courtesy light switch ignited the vapors that by now had filled the interior. The resulting fireball gave the guy a bunch of second-degree flash burns and set the company van ablaze.
I can't recall whether the guy lost his job. He certainly lost his eyebrows for a while.

I've had it happen twice where a car was parked at the pumps when I pulled up. Finished filling up and still the car is sitting there with noone around. And there were plenty of spots in front of the store to park. Do you park in the drive thru too? I just don't understand that dumbass inconsiderate behavior.

Good point. The Cyber lady is also facing the store for a few moments as if someone was calling her out for either trying to fill a BEV, or for as you say, bogarting the pump island.

Yeah but I can pick this apart too. I know there's a lot of dumb people out there but I seriously don't think this is real and was done just for clicks/likes. If you're buying an EV you obviously know it's electric and doesn't run on gas. The ones filming this would have to be a real a'hole for just filming and watching her instead of helping her out so they were obviously in on it too. Plus the salesman go over on how to charge it so if this was real this lady shouldn't be driving at all.

At first I thought the same, but did you watch to the end? One of the guys in the car got out to tell her the car doesn't take gas. And I am betting it's a rental. I wouldn't have shared if it was an obvious fake. (a potential fake? maybe...)

But this persons YouTube channel has over 4.45K subs and this video got 3M views. I'll stand by my initial thought it's a fake and done for views and money. These people make a lot of money doing dumb stuff like this on YouTube.

OMG !!! You've had it happen 2 times !?!?! That is just crazy !!! Maybe next time, you should just wait until they come out and give them a piece of your mind !! I'm sure that would correct their horrific behavior....

Maybe they were traveling and went inside to take a leak or drop a deuce. Or they have kids that couldn't make up their mind between a Snickers or M&M's. Or the line inside to pay was long or they only had to pre-pay with cash. Maybe they were elderly and just slow to get around.

Do I park at the pump on a regular basis ? No. And when I do it, there aren't any decent spaces to park, due to other inconsiderate / poor parkers. If the pumps are busy, I'll park around the side of the store if it's available....I'm not afraid to walk.

I consider myself a pretty considerate person. I hold the door for others, stop and let folks back out of parking spots, grab items from the top shelf for those that are vertically challenged, stop to help change a tire, and render aid at accident scenes. So, just because I have parked at the pump a couple of times in my 40+ years of driving, it doesn't make it "dumbass inconsiderate behavior"......it makes me human.
