Not proven, quit spreading fear. The difference is that if we get as many infections of COVID-19 as we did with H1N1 we would have 2.5 MILLION deaths, not a paltry 12.5 THOUSAND. This virus is far more deadly.

Not spreading fear, just trying to get people to take this seriously. The virus currently has a kill rate of 3.7 percent. And that is including current infections/new infections. If you only compare recovered cases and deaths, the kill rate is 7%. Swine flu was .01%. You are right that as the virus spreads the death rate might go down though. But this is what we have to go off of right now. Not sure why this is in a Ranger forum, but figured I'd share some factsNot proven, quit spreading fear.

Less than 1% of the population getting this?? We don't even have enough TESTS yet!! I'd LOVE to be wrong about this, but Italy was about where we were a couple weeks ago. Italy is now at 1800 deaths, and they have about 1/5 the population of us. Furthermore, if you think only old people are at risk you are misinformed.Wife works at largest medical hospital in Colorado. They’re expecting less then 1% of population to get this and only major risk is to those immune compromised. 1000’s coming into the er for sniffles. Not a single patient has confirmed covid-19. 5 patient being tested with results today. Even in the emails amongst doctors they said the media has induced a panic. The social isolation is going to flatten the spread very quickly. Just what I’ve been told. Cheers.

Just telling ya what the docs are saying. Wife is on the front lines of such. If she’s not panicking why should I. No one’s arguing that precautions shouldn’t be taken. Or at least I’m not.Less than 1% of the population getting this?? We don't even have enough TESTS yet!! I'd LOVE to be wrong about this, but Italy was about where we were a couple weeks ago. Stay home when you can, avoid others. Wash your hands, don't get sneezed on, and good luck.
Not to be overly precise, but we are exactly 8 days behind Italy. We do have the advantage of seeing what is happening over there and taking corrective actions now which might help, but only time will tell. I'm hoping warmer weather will slow it down!Less than 1% of the population getting this?? We don't even have enough TESTS yet!! I do appreciate the input! And I really hope this thing does blow over and we can continue to live normal lives! From what I’ve been told. Those who smoke, live in polluted air climates, and/or vape are more likely to see the worst of the symptoms. Again not here to argue just what I’ve been told by my wife. If you want to argue with her good luck.![]()
Thanks bud. Me too! Hoping warm weather helps coming up. Cheers!!!I do appreciate the input! And I really hope this thing does blow over and we can continue to live normal lives!
The people who run this place are Hawaiians and the food is really goodI'm impressed Sid, and as far east as NC, is there that much of a market for this type of food there?
The wall decor is a bit tacky, but who cares?
As long as the fare is tasty and reasonably priced is all that matters...![]()

born and raised in NC. Missing the bbqThe people who run this place are Hawaiians and the food is really good![]()
Thanks for the info!!! Our area here has, on some days, a lot of air pollution!!From what I’ve been told.
