Costco says 265/70R17 will rub and won’t install them. Help.

The UCAs are all the same.

One possible difference will be that some trucks will have aluminum spindles and some will have cast iron.

Yours being a 2019 you will more than likely have the aluminum.

I went back and pleaded my case and showed him all these responses. He said he’d do it but he gaurentees they’ll rub and that it’ll end up voiding the Costco warranty.

is it possible the UCAs are different between models? I doubt they’d do that on the production floor, but the space was very narrow.
Other tire shops have great road side warranties, ditch Costco. My buddy owns Central Tire #5 in Inglewood if you are in that area. No roadside warranty I am aware of but fair prices.

Just got new 265s on my ‘19 sport 4x4 from Les Schwab. Had a friend who worked there for years and they have always taken care of me even if I bought cheap tires somewhere else. With them tho, I definitely pay for the service

Well they are on now. It’s true there is about the tip of my finger distance between the tire and the uca. I don’t think they’ll flex much freeway but when going off-road and dropping the psi we’ll see what happens.
Everyone on here has said no issues so I can’t imagine I’m the only one who’ll have them lol

he wrote a line on the warranty dock that they won’t cover damage from sidewalk rubbing. Oh well no biggie. Love the look, though maybe I will get some new wheels to move the tire out asmudge under the fender. I like that look.

What‘s the Costco warranty?
they pretty much will replace your tires for free (or prorate based on tread ware) for almost any reason due to flat or damage.

I’ve used it on multiple cars over years and they are really good honoring it.

ive never aired mine down below 18 - 20 psi. ive never had them rub at that pressure that ive noticed. i know other folks may air down to a lower psi but i fear having a tire decide to part ways with the wheel

I’ve been following all the threads here and came to the conclusion with everyone else that 265/70 tires would fit fine and won’t rub even with stock suspension. I came to Costco last week to have them installed and they wouldn’t but said I should get my fox suspension and level done first and then they would do them. Came back today and they said no there’s no way we can fit them on there they’re going to rub against the upper control arms. And I do agree there is very little space between the control arm and the tire now. My Sport came with 255/65 17s.

I’m not sure what to do.
Your trouble is that that isn't a factory size for your model year. If you had one that had a Tremor spec in the same MY they'd probably do it.

They set the pressure to 52. That seems high but is that normal? They said it’s what they have for spec. I was running the 255s at 34
52 is WAY too high. Use the door sticker.
