Look I know some people have no time and no interest in doing something like this but, speaking for the rear shocks, it’s a great time to go to Lowe’s or Home Depot and get yourself a nice set of metric ratchet wrenches and crawl under there and do this yourself. You’ll be shocked at how easy it really is, if you’re an able-bodied person at all, and you’ll have a great sense of accomplishment. Now the fronts? Yeah just pay to have that shit done LOL.
I was almost about to go ahead and install fronts and rears at home myself and after watching a couple videos on YT was like ugh, I don't want to get stuck and then not be able to use my truck for work the next day. Lol. I've done coilovers on a WRX, but for a truck and actually doing a lift, I was like nah not this time

Got my Eibach rear shocks installed this morning while I waited! Only took 15 minutes at the local shop down the road from where I work. Only charged me $25! The owner who put them on said he used to work in service at a Ford dealership. Said he really checked my truck out since it was the first one he's had in and said "You got a nice truck there." LOL maybe they say that to everyone though that comes in with a new vehicle.
He commented that he hoped I would be happy with the ride and that it's not too hard now since he said the old shocks he took off he could compress with his bare hands.... but not these Eibachs.
I told him I am on a Ranger forum and this was one of the brands recommended. I only got to drive it about 3/4 mile so far (straight down highway to work) and I can say it did feel (as others described it) MORE PLANTED.
He was nice enough to take the red stickers off the shocks for me! He thought the boots with the zip ties were kinda cheaply made though.
$25 is awesome! Glad you got this done. I get charged $25 for pulling into the parking lot

Took the long route home yesterday so I could assess the feel of the truck with the new rear shocks and then of course got to drive the Ranger to work this morning. Of course the front end of the truck still has that slight floaty feeling like a boat going through small waves, didn't expect any improvement there. As I said, the truck seems more "planted" going down the highway though. With the OEM shocks, used to feel a hard thump & jolt when driving over breaks in the road, not quite as bad now... you still feel it but not as annoying now. Truck still rocks side to side a bit in the back end in certain situations, but I think that is probably just the nature of an unweighted truck bed. I would not ever say the Eibachs gave the truck a hard feeling ride. Overall some improvement over OEM shocks, nothing drastic. Just my opinion. I don't know if it makes a difference, but my truck is a 2021 XLT regular 4x4. Tire pressure right now all at 30 psi.

Val, I think the guy might have been sweet on you, but in any case, that's a great price to install. It probably took all of 15 minutes for someone with the skills and tools to do it, so it's all good :)
