I forgot to mention my damper when I did the online appraisal.

I don’t know who is buying these overpriced used trucks right now but it’s borderline silly. When I was shopping in March the difference between a factory fresh new FX4 and a used 2019 was miniscule. I’m talking like 2-3k difference or less. I was seeing plenty of 2019s for 31-32k and I paid 33,500 for my truck...

I have checked my 2019 SC XLT with 14,000 miles as well and sites are saying its worth $28K to $32K trade value.

The crazy part is that unless there's obvious damage that Carvana price is actually what they'll pay. They don't even do that comprehensive of an evaluation.

When I sold them my 2019 it was for the price they quoted online (more than I paid for it) and took maybe 15 minutes.

Not sure I'd buy from them but with these prices I'd sell in a heartbeat assuming it was a vehicle I didn't want.

This entire situation seems fishy to me, people buying used trucks for more than you would spend on a new one.

Just pulled the trigger. They are coming to get my truck Wednesday. I found a Tremor XLT at a dealer near by for 37,298 and no dealer fee. Just tax and tag transfer. Not sure how I feel going from a Super Cab to a crew. I'll miss some Lariat options too.

How does this work if it's financed? does carvana pay the loan off then send you a check for the difference

32k here from Carvana and Vroom... purchased for 34k 2 years ago.. pretty temping for sure.

BUT... private party wise, 34 is probably a fare number on both sides.

Yes. You need to get a letter with 10 day payoff from lender. THey pay the lender direct then cut you a check on the spot for the equity if you have any.

I’ve read a few discussions on here about people selling their used cars to Carvana. Just for fun I tried it with my Ranger and they offered me $27,000 for my 19’ XL 4x4 with 30,000 miles. I paid $30,000 out the door for it 2 years ago. Kinda tempting but I do love the truck still so probably won’t take it. Anybody have this same experience? Opinions?

Sold a 2020 to them . Then bought another . They are paying big dollars because the used car market it high like housing and with less new cars its also driving up used values

I watched prices go up and up on my truck (2018 F-150 XLT Supercrew 4X4 FX4) for about 6 months before i finally decided to sell mine and get a new one. When I looked 6 months ago I think they were offering around $32,000 and then about 4 weeks ago it was at $37,200 and then a week later it was at $38,400 so I pulled the trigger. I don't even want to look at the value today since I sold it two weeks ago. I did find it online and they are asking $41,800 for it.
I really liked the truck I had and wouldn't have sold it except for the crazy high prices being paid for used trucks. We probably have not hit the peak yet but I think it is coming in the next 2-3 months as long as there isn't a new shortage of something we don't know about yet. Once new inventory catches up with demand (probably 6 -8 months from now), I think these high prices will quickly correct back to what they were a year ago.
So if anyone is even thinking about getting something new, now is a good time to do it.
